My Soundwave hasn't been affected yet, but I have seen it on Cyclones. I guess OG Siege Megatron is immune to it?

Man, Classics Jetfire looks great in alt-mode, and standing perfectly still in a neutral pose, but don't try to do anything with it since the articulation is such a letdown. Even for that time. Oh, I think I forgot about RtS Lugnut. That made a great aircraft and a decent robot, back when I had it!

Depending on how you feel about the arms, Generations Scourge (the 2010-ish one) belongs on that list. It cleaned up well, and was a great representation of the character for a decade or so. But, yeah, still not a voyager, either.

Admittedly, I haven't followed the live action space for a number of years, so it's good that there have been some solid figures

I'm trying to think, what was the last really good jetformer at the voyager size?

Yeah, I'm thinking of keeping mine au naturel. Maybe if I'd grabbed GS Galvatron (I was tempted to!), then I'd sticker them both up as a "toy team".

Total units sold, likely. An original character probably sells far less than shoehorning Optimus Prime in somehow.

Yeah, Pointblank was one of my childhood toys, and I'd always wanted a modern update, and this will do the trick.

I can't help but feel that Leadfoot works better in the mold than even Mirage does!

Yeah, I haven't applied any of them yet, and am still deciding if I even want to. Maybe the extra Decepticon logos, like you did, but that might be it. I also love the vibrant red paint for the optics. It just makes him look so much more alive at any angle.

Yeah, I feel the pain, too. I started collecting again when Universe 2.0 started up. Deluxes at the time were $14.99 CDN, and often went on sale for around $10. At those kind of prices, it was fun to grab random figures as well as the characters that I was into, and it was that way all the way...

Well, after hemming and hawing for a couple of days as to whether I was going to keep it, I finally opened up Cyclonus and Nightstick. What a beautiful figure this is. Kingdom Cyclonus just looks so bland in comparison (and I typically prefer the cartoon look for him!). He does have looseness...

    Studio Series 86 Appreciation Thread

Funny enough, I find there are some things that ER Ironhide does better than SS86 in the vehicle mode (the front end and side hinges come to mind first). But, SS86 has its benefits, too. If I had replacement wheels and feet on my copy, I'd probably not feel any real urge to switch. However...

Well, yes, I know. That was one of the reasons I didn't jump on it - especially before getting Sunstreaker proper. I also didn't realize how fast that set would sell, too.

I think that's what kept me from tossing a pre-order in for Clampdown. Between the Siege and ER versions of both Sideswipe and Red Alert, there isn't any magic in the base mold anymore for me. Clampdown also being Red Alert minus, well, the red just didn't help either. Kinda tangential, but I...

Seconded. I like how solid the upper torso is looking, too. I'm also not sure why that mattered so much before now.

It's really too early to get a final opinion based on that first (low quality) picture. I'm pretty certain that cut job on the image also removed parts from the figure, but we'll have to wait and see. At least the feet look to form the back of the van this time, though.

Naturally, I've sold off all of my WfC/FoC and Siege figures! Ha ha ha! I'll have to get creative!
