Republican support for Ukraine was always, at best, highly reluctant. They've been Team Putin the whole time, but they knew the optics were bad at the outset of the invasion. Just like with January 6, after the initial outrage passes they eventually show their true colors.

I think there are still conservatives here, but they're conservative by pre-Trump standards. The fact that they didn't fall down the fascism rabbit hole over the past decade doesn't mean they surrendered their beliefs.
