I think I may have enjoyed the rock aesthetic if applied to beasts rather than vehicles. The Fossilizers are named as such, but the molds are more bone than stone in appearance.

I'm just so disappointed about that big chunk of burgundy in the middle of Vector Prime's altmode. The original had a huge block of it on the surface, but it was clearly overlaid on top of the ship's main color. Yeah, it's wild how they kept doing stuff but kept ending up at least one Seeker short for each trio. Voyager had Dirge and "Thrust", no Ramjet. Legends had Starscream and Skywarp, no Thundercracker. Ramjet and Thrust, no Dirge.

I... didn't decide it would be Skywarp, so I'm not sure why you're telling me. I never even said anything about preferring Skywarp as a deco for this mold, just that the Cybertron-based mold hadn't gotten a redeco yet, so this being Skywarp was more likely than a complex retool of the Earthrise...

These look nice but idk if I'll track these down. They ARE nice new looks and ripe for repurposing (that Bluestreaky Seeker is neat and the shade of color on Runablue gives Boss vibes), so it'll be tempting. But agreed on those coneheads. I do wish they'd at least crank out the canceled G2...

For this I can comfortably hold on to the original. It's a respectable effort but it was always going to be hard to take such a distinctive design and steer it toward another distinctive design; at that point just use a new-tooling slot. This would be one to keep in robot mode if ever.

The Cybertron toyline is a near perfect distillation of Transformers, to me. A little of everything, beasts, vehicles, good range of aesthetics, Mini-Cons, huge Transformers, Earth and Cybertronian altmodes, gimmickry both intrusive and otherwise, a splash of homaging and a lot of new twists...
