I know my last few IC posts have had Kage basically flip flopping on how They should react, but it just kinda fits. He’s basically a roiling mass of mixed up feelings because he has no idea what to do. I mean, he’s just used to punching evil in the face.
Under his Cowl, Omega smiled. Though it was a smile devoid of warmth. The idea of simply submitting to being ‘escorted’ to a meeting with Correspondent 251 (though potentially useful) was almost abhorrent to him. Partly because it risked Sue’zhan being fully ‘reaquired’ by YPNR. But mostly...
The Omega Knight jaw tightened at the familiar sound, with his mind inevitably being drawn back to ‘incident’ at The Ret. Its ‘malfunctioning’ police droids, the trapped civilians and Mayor Nemo. Ever since then suspicions had bounced around the back of his head regarding exactly how the OPDPD...
Keeping his hands under his cape, so as to hide the fact that he was squeezing his fists tight in an attempt to Not screw up this tentative moment of diplomacy by punching Lucidas in the face!
Omega was conflicted, sortof.
He was far from believing that Lucidas was as eloquently unaware as he...
Omegas fists clenched as Lucidas continued to, to him, prevaricate on their presence here. On the verge of yelled at the man, he was thus caught off guard when Patch spoke up. And spoke up with a level of diplomacy that he was currently very much incapable of.
Managing to catch the running rabbitman, the Omega Knight held him back and hissed urgently, in a low enough tone that onky he would hear.
”EB, hold it! I know we have no time, I know we have to get past this and deal with their stupidity! But right now, we have no clue what this Lucidas has up...
With every word, Lucidas infuriated him more. Omega snapped.
”This place will impact the bay of The Old Publishing District! It will Die! You, will Die! EVERYONE on this isolated island will Die! EVERYONE ON THE ground, will Die!
EB! WAIT!”
Though he was as eager as his friend (if not more)...
Indeed. Take care Doc.
As for my IC post. Technically, when I said Kage spoke in a low voice, it could be taken as low enough that Lucidas might not hear it over the storm. Plus, Kage isn’t exactly thinking straihjt right now. :)
Heading out into the wind and rain, Kage still marvelled at the sheer size of YPNRs floating fortress city. Pristine, geometric in design, mathematical in construction and, save for the people they had met along the way, as cold as the metal it was built of. A magnificent floating island...
