Both of those decos look really nice - especially Ratbat. However, I have no connection to these versions of either character, so it'll be a solid pass for me. Plus, I'm like good on the Megatron and Scourge molds.

    The Repaint Concept Thread

I saw that huge Cybertron Starscream many times at retail and passed on it. Then I decided to grab the Galaxy Force Voyager version, and I'm still glad that I did. I like the toy a lot, I just didn't need it at triple (or whatever) the size.

This is definitely cool because I hear that he was tough to get. If only they could tool a much better-looking car mode for Breakdown to go with it. The other bots' alt modes look incredible, IMO.

What drew me to Reprolabels initially was the quality of their G1 sticker sheet replicas. In the 90s, I ordered from them quite a bit as I completed more and more of my G1 collection. As time went on and the Transformers brand branched out and offered more, so did their company; it makes...

    Studio Series discussion

Yeah, I like the fact that they are kind of nodding to some of the Transmetal aesthetics. I don't generally buy Movieverse figures (except on rare occasions), but so far, most of the animal designs have been pretty cool.

IMO, The Ark isn't so much horrible as it is just underwhelming for what it is (and how much it initially cost!). It looks okayish in ship mode, which is the "underwhelming" part to me, because they really should have focused on that mode over everything else. But they clearly tightened things...

    Transformers Legacy toyline

Right. But I would be willing to suspend disbelief if the set would allow me to both: a). Have a nice-looking space ship mode. b). "Convert" into a fun, engaging little play scene inside.

Perhaps it's a case of Titan-sized shrinkflation? I was a little puzzled with the decision not to include another transforming figure, but I fear that this might be the cost of doing business in 2023.

    Transformers Legacy toyline

Yeah, I am firmly in the "wish they had been playsets" camp re: both The Ark and this Nemesis release. Throwing the engineering and budget into something that splits open and becomes a command center, bridge, general hangout area, etc. would've been far more appealing to me than "by God, we've...

Yes, and I'm also getting some TF Prime vibes as well. Specifically, a Vehicon influence with the thin proportions and high shoulder areas. Edit: super-specifically, Prime Soundwave, too.

I got my preorder in at Pulse. Just like The Ark, I'm not buying it for the robot mode at all (doubt I'll even bother transforming it, unless I need to). It's expensive, but I went in on The Ark at full price and I haven't regretted it.

How do you view the forums?

Yes, very nice indeed. Easier to read, and I think that should be the priority.

    I will remain stoked.

Tell it, brother. I just received the G1 Thundercracker reissue from Pulse and the box was gargantuan. He was the only thing in the order, too.

    Transformers Legacy toyline

Yeah, it was/is definitely more fun to find something in the wild. I was able to find Cosmos on a Wal-Mart run last year, and that definitely pushed the nostalgia buttons. Beyond that isolated purchase though, the closest I can get to what I used to experience is if I pass on preordering...

I do too. But as the times have changed, so have my collecting habits. Anything that I know I will really want, I preorder. If I should happen to come across something I'm looking for at a physical store, cool; happy accident. Hunting for toys the old-school way just isn't as groovy as it...

Buzzworthy Bumblebee - the "everything goes" toyline

^ I like that idea. Instead of a blast effect or somesuch, they could include a little UFO Bumblebee, and a storage feature for Wheeljack's alt mode. I honestly wouldn't mind paying the Voyager-tier cost if they were willing to do something like that.

Buzzworthy Bumblebee - the "everything goes" toyline

Yeah, I am talking specifically about a first-episode-of-G1-style toy. They knocked both Bumblebee and Jazz out of the park, and I feel like the current team could do Wheeljack justice as well.

Buzzworthy Bumblebee - the "everything goes" toyline

Yeah, I really want a Wheeljack to round things out. At this current rate, he feels very much like a possibility.
