Just got back from seeing it. I'm not gonna pretend that it's the best thing Marvel's done - it's not. But I enjoyed it, and I think it's a fair start for Phase Five. Might've worked better as the last film for Phase Four, though.
Hmm...okay, tentative thoughts.
Magnificus? I'm glad the toy is coming, but I'm happy to skip him.
Omega Sentinel? I can justify snapping him up easily.
Windsweeper? Cool. Easily snapped up.
Antagony? No objection to her either.
The unknown G1 Headmaster? If it's a repaint of Topspin...
I think that it's a shame the Twins were cut from DotM. The major moment planned for them was pretty awesome.
As for RotF? It wasn't horrible, but it was a sign of things to come with the films.
And speaking of preorders, I just got notified by Hasbro Pulse that my preorders for the first wave of Deluxes for Evolution will be shipping soon. Yay!
No complaints here. If they want Netflix to be a one-stop-shop for Gen 5 pony, then go for it. Just as long as Tell Your Tale remains available for free on Youtube.
I somehow doubt they'll go that far. Purchasing or starting their own film or television company is one thing, as it's relatively easier to find distribution for a TV show or film (especially with the rise of streaming services), but a comic book company? There's far fewer profitable...
Odds are good that I'll purchase said four-pack when it comes. Odds are also good that I will be happy with that purchase, and get it for things other than the prerequisite Bumblebee.
