No interest in Laser Prime, he is just ultimately the original but worse. Having said that he doesn't look terrible for modern part budgets. Scourge might be tempting if he's not miserable to get hold of being a Warmart exclusive. Dragstrip looked fine, but in lots of ways he's by far the...
I think the worrying thing is that it seems like Wave 3 of Kingdom wasn't just an aberration, but there's been another permanent reduction in costs and parts counts. That's going to suck, because that wave was bad.
I can't really see the point of making Prime toys in Prime's art style tbh. You will be getting the toys we already got but worse due to smaller budgets. Why? If you want those reissues would be better for toys in genuine demand.
I mean, I loved the original RID but every RID homage toy from...
Ooff, neither of those look very good at all. Cost cutting is really beginning to heavily damage the line. Skids just looks half finished due to lack of parts count. Bulkhead just looks ill concieved.
I'm also surprised they didn't stick a fourth tier on at the end to be honest, even if it was something fairly simple like additional sword blades. Or a Unicron-esque sprue of filler pieces.
I have to be honest, I am baffled why they've picked Cybertron Metroplex to make a new, bigger toy of. He wasn't even very popular at the time, this is less accurate than the existing toy and it'll be made with more hollow materials. The design is rubbish.
MP Thundercracker arrived today. He feels pretty good, a bit tight in places but Takara do seem to have put in some work to fix areas where people had reported issues on Starscream (didn't have any of those personally).
I would also assume that it's a similar situation to previous Haslabs and the Takara orders, or the Zavvi orders in Europe excluding the UK haven't been added yet. It's almost certainly over Tier 1 already.
Kapow toys suggests that Tigatron (the regular one) will be an Amazon exclusive in the UK. Which would make me extremely grumpy, given Amazon UK's history of taking orders for Transformers, never shipping them, and then quietly cancelling them six months later when it's too late.
A few people have observed that the Wheeljack silhouette isn't right, and some people are speculating that it might be a retool for Cybertronian mode Wheeljack? That makes some sense I guess.
It doesn't fit with the leaked listings, but the Glyph/Tapout pack was also dropped at the last minute.
Not a huge fan of Huffer and Pipes being fused together. Especially when Pipes is getting his own toy in this line! Could have used this opportunity to give an original character a bio. Looks nice otherwise.
It must be said Amazon and Google have both opened AAA game studios and failed despite unlimited money. This isn't easy to do and I'm not holding my breath to be honest.
