    Transformers Legacy toyline

Yeah - and "GI Joe but robots" isn't as convincing a concept as it once was. There's a reason they haven't been able to figure out how to do Joe in the modern era beyond capitalizing on nostalgia.

    Transformers: EarthSpark

Looks fun and for the first time in years we're getting a Transformers show with real voice talent! Also, with Alan Tudyk, any outtake real is going to be hilarious (and not PG).

Velocitron Speedia 500 Collection - Transformers: Legacy subline at Walmart

Yeah, a more animation accurate head would've been nice, but I didn't expect it.

    Translucent plastic strikes again. :(

The good news is, no reason not to keep both since they even have different names. They could be sisters or something: Crasher and Fracture the Sisters of Disaster!

    Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

Hmm, interesting point. Did anyone tell him that was all still going to happen, or was it suggested that maybe he doesn't realize? Like, maybe he believed the entire encounter only came to be because he was still on the Enterprise?

    Studio Series 86 Appreciation Thread

I miss Legends. Core Class is kind of neat, and I can't argue against how cool the "smaller big dudes" are. There just isn't anywhere for them in my collection; they're still too big to even pretend to stand in with the city bots and other large bots, but too small to go elsewhere. Meanwhile...

Gobots and Machine Robo News & Discussion

Didn't even realize it was a different manufacturer. I just assumed it was a big version like the earlier Cy-kill. Interesting.

I don't think they get that granular. They had to buy back Yarna from stores, but they didn't stop making Star Wars figures. There have been plenty of duds over the years - they hopefully learn from those individual examples and move on.

Hasbro officially announces the "Selfie Series" toyline

I wouldn't be surprised if they will individually verify orders to make sure people aren't submitting public figures - that would be a huge liability otherwise. These won't be cheap, so it's probably something an intern or two can keep up with.

    The Orville

I'm wondering if you may be right. They've created a paradox because Gordon's message was sent after six months, so in picking him up when they did, they got him before he sent the very message that allowed them to come back and get him. Also, we still haven't seen the egg salad sandwich. I...

Hasbro officially announces the "Selfie Series" toyline

I also wonder how much of the limited options has to do with the fact that after all these years Hasbro has still never really standardized their neck/ball socket connections. I remember years ago during Q&As, customizers repeatedly asked for standard sizes across the Joe, Star Wars and MU lines...

Well... he had a brother he never (originally) mentioned for decades either.

Hasbro officially announces the "Selfie Series" toyline

I wouldn't be surprised to see the options expand if this does well. Years ago I got a set of 1:18 heads from "That'smyface" made and they turned out really cool. It's fun that Hasbro's finally getting into the game!

G.I. Joe thread - 09/13/2024: Pulsecon - Dreadnoks, Dogs and Cereal

Well screw it, I'm in on the HISS - and I renewed my Pulse Premium. Saving the $22 on shipping for the HISS pays for almost half of that anyway and this way it's in place for SDCC.

I always thought they missed an opportunity to do a 4" Circuit Breaker with one of the Marvel Universe female bucks and pack her with a handful of headmasters mounted on a "wall".

That would be a very clever bit of writing if they did that on purpose... Edit: But it would appear my first instinct was the right one: I get it, but yeah...

    Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

I assume they made a conscious decision to not have the actor attempt to do Shatner, because it could easily come off as a caricature. The problem is, that is who Kirk was, and it was consistent through all the years (heck, even Chris Pine's Kirk incorporated Shatnerisms). To not play it that...
