I believe the generally accepted use in the TF fandom for the term “knockoff” is copies of existing toys. New mold figures meant to be HasTak IP are usually “3rd party” or “unofficial” toys.
Got some new orange paint in that I think matches the native orange better so I redid the head. painted the paws red as well since i had time to hug around with the pins. Considering doing the cannons as well but i don’t see any accessible way of dismantling them.
Mixed up a shade of orange closer to the orange on the toy. Mostly hidden but also painted the silver paws in metallic red for teh geewun and the silver being kinda out of place
Maybe in twenty years or so when the kids who grew up on PoTP and netflix Transformers start making disposable income. Then again they might preserve the hollowness and jank because accuracy lol
I don't think anybody's missing out on anything by skipping the POTP Dinobots TBH. Mediocre bot and altmodes that the Studio series Leader class toys do better all around with a stick figure for a combined mode.
They definitely don't have the status that would warrant refurbishing or reverse-engineering the molds. Unless they find the pristine G1 molds in a warehouse somewhere, the best we're getting is that 3rd party one that is passable if you can look past them looking like they were made of Lego and...
I can understand the compromises when it comes to the torso components. What baffles me is how Grimlock is so much worse when all he has to do is form a box.
You don't even need a name. Hasbro can't make its mind up about Elita One's combiner and the Starscream and Inferno combiners still aren't named. As long as you appear on something with the Hasbro or takara stamp, you exist.
There's precedent with the Fossilizer combiner (crappy as it was) but I dunno, most combiner leg modes are just the altmode stood up so I'm not particularly convinced.
Just in-game currency. There are 12 rings for the story but you can make rings of minor characters. The rings are random though and have levels that you can grind by combining multiple copies of lower leveled rings.
No real money involved but it does not help the mobile game comparisons...
Monke to robot transformation is fairly predictable but the crotch mode transformation is ingenious. It uses a similar sliding rail system to Armada Overload/Stege Magnus to move the legs into the chest for crotch mode.
Lord Megatron, I’m trying to destroy the heroic forces of the Autobots but...

Fire Emblem Engage reminds me of the good parts of Awakening, where things are focused on battling with social activities available if you want them but not intrusive to the main gameplay. The engage mechanic is broken though, gonna avoid using it since even hard mode is a cakewalk.
