This was always going to be an uphill battle, mitigated only by price. But "mitigated only by price" went right out the window when they wanted $350 for essentially a vehicle shell with some fancy lights and a flicker switch and some bloosh bits that would only work with this particular item...

It was interesting that (as Shadewing pointed out) one of the things they made sure to stress at the panel was that they continue to have a strong relationship with Toei. Not that that necessarily means anything; it could just mean "we're not making this change because of problems with Toei".

I'm not super bothered by this Breakdown, but I don't think it's entirely unreasonable for people to expect that entire list of things when Hasbro managed it the first three times. (Although only one previous time was a calf.)

Not sure how it compares to Earthrise, but it'd be nice to get some "upgrade kit" parts that let you swap out the hip and thigh fronts parts (which are removable via unscrewing, iirc) for more Scourge-y ones. But that paint job nicely picks out the details that make the hip plate look different...

It's certainly welcome. The next preferable step would be new-character redecos. I wish they'd gone and made that a Night Ops Ratchet, but this will be a good base for a custom.

I've had it happen to a small degree on a copy of ER Bluestreak, but I suppose that's partly due to disassembling and reassembling the thing a few times and moving it around for tape masking (i.e., not ideal use).
