Agreed. I love Skullgrin in robot mode, but he's essentially an Action Master. I've transformed him a couple of times, but don't feel the need to ever do so again. It would have been more forgivable if he had been a Core class like his pretender brothers.

It's more the opposite problem. He turns from a great spaceship into a mediocre robot. Not a BAD robot mode, mind you, just not fantastic. And my main problem with him remains that what I really wanted was a base mode. A robot mode for the Ark isn't something I hate, but was never something...

    Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

Same here. I had sworn off of movieverse toys a while back, but that Battletrap might pull me back in.

That's pretty much exactly how I feel about the Ark. In an ideal world, we would have gotten a toy that goes from that Ark mode to an Autobot Base playset with no robot mode involved. That's really what I wanted.

    The artemis moon mission.

As long as he wasn't still accidentally inside of it when the ship launched. That's how you get space comedy movies.

Mine is nice and tight, so I don't think it's an issue with the mold itself, if that helps.

I've got some old Big Looker Transformers storybooks that I found at a thrift store. The original owner went through and corrected all the instances of the red tape being called Rumble and the blue tape being called Frenzy: As a Cartoon kid, I tend to find myself as well on the RIB-FIR side...

In other words, we totally nail it? Because if you are implying that Crocodile Dundee is anything less than an accurate and respectful meditation on Australian culture, then we, sir, are going to have to agree to disagree.

    Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

TFW2005 has pictures of RotB Airazor. I have to say, I've never been much into the organic Beast Wars style, but I like this. I like it a lot. Very much a robotic bird, just an organically-styled robotic bird, and the headsculpt looks like something you'd see in Legacy, not the "piles of...

For you, the day you dropped $113 on a set of repaints was the most important day of your life. For him, it was Tuesday.

    WFC Sky-Lynx reissue.

You know, say what you will about the quality of the Bay movies, I think that the rise in Transformer's ability to command retail shelf space can be traced directly back to their success. If we hadn't suffered through Skids and Mudflap, we never would have gotten a Jhiaxus.

    WFC Sky-Lynx reissue.

They're just trying to replicate the "Classics" Seeker experience. Wide-release of Starscream, followed by Skywarp only in a store-exclusive two pack, then Thundercracker only existing as a part of a Botcon box set until 4 years later. Those were the days!

I'd wager that the paint app budget that would have made that possible was used up, or I'm sure they would have. That's exactly the kind of little extra touch that the Transformers team has been trying to do lately.
