I've more or less sworn off Movie figures, but that is one good looking Brawn. The Bumblebee-Movie-Verse characters are just generally more attractive to me than the standard Bay-verse version. I like my Transformers to be mostly made out of big chunks of alt-mode.
I have that Devastator as well, and I agree completely. While I'm not opposed to a giant Devastator, a head taller than the other combiner teams fit better into my collection. And I, too, have been hoping for a long time for a downscaled Predaking.
I suppose it's true that I CAN imagine a really, really great new Ironhide mold. But I've been trying to cut back on re-buying characters I already have unless they pass some imaginary, ill-defined threshold of "better enough" than the old one. I'd say the Earthrise Ironhide did about 90% of...
Agreed. I understand why they changed the clear yellow to painted gold since the whole line is about screen accuracy, but the "robo-greebles underneath the clear dinosaur skin" look was always one of my favorite things about the G1 Dinobots. I'd be surprised if we don't get "toy colors"...
I think they're amazing as well. I wish they would have kept putting them out occasionally over the years. I would have loved to have had a Masterpiece version of Slugfest, Overkill, Squawkbox, etc.
Yeah, I was pretty happy with most of the teams from CW. I skipped Menasor because he was pretty lackluster and I figured they'd get around to redoing him someday. I don't see myself re-buying any of those groups, but I would be interested in any that never received toys in Combiner Wars such...
To be fair, the sample size is extremely low right now. If the Commander Class continues to be a thing for a while, I'd be pretty surprised if no Commander Class figures was ever retooled into an appropriate different character.
It sounds pretty much like what I was expecting based on a Commander Class Motormaster and our look at Dragstrip (who didn't have any obvious concessions for becoming a limb like the old CW cars).
While I wouldn't want that style of combination for any other gestalt, I think it works for...
I'd say it's a little odd for Megatron to wear a shirt with a picture of himself on it, but then I remembered that he spent the early 90's walking around with "Megatron Rules!" scrawled across his chest, so maybe it's not that out of character for him.
Yeah, I'm always up for a good space movie and I've never been disappointed by Pixar yet.
As for Tim Allen not being the voice of Buzz, I think it works perfectly on a "toy manufacturers rarely spend the money to hire the real actor for toy voice chips" level.
To bring it back around to Dracula, I watched the classic Universal 1931 Dracula last night. At the very beginning of the film, you see the various coffins spread around with various "night creatures" in the area. There's a scene where they use a miniature coffin to create the impression of a...
Just opened mine yesterday, and the knees are both loosey and goosey. I can hear the ratchets doing their thing inside of the knee, but there's almost no actual resistance. I may see if I can stiffen them up a little with some minor surgery.
