What I wanna know is, if they intend for the show to be in-continuity with the video games, why did they opt for an all-new Canadian voice cast for the show instead of just using the same cast as the games?

If Hasbro were to do a Legacy release of Sideways, I'd rather they give him his own dedicated mold instead of just redecoing him from another. And we are in an age where if they wanted to, they absolutely could. They've surprised us with greater things before.

I didn't ever think that this show was at all connected to the games' canon.

$120 for the one with the trailer, $75 for the one without.

On the other hand, the combined price for both would still be way cheaper than trying to get a single vintage one complete off eBay, and having both together could allow one to be Cartoon Optimus and the other to be Marvel Optimus (I'd just share the trailer between the both of them).

Yeah, I'm guessing he just forgot about that bit back in season 1 from eight months ago. He likely didn't re-watch season 1 in the time since and was just going off (partial) memory. But other than that one goof, he seems to paint a fairly apt picture of how this series has portrayed Shadow.
