It'd be nice to get a Nancy out of the Arcee mold, perhaps with some retooling to be boxier and junkier (although I'd be fine with just the new head). Sure, we've got a different Deluxe bike Junkion, and Axlegrease's head is based on the character, but neither of those is this.
Oh that's very likely. I think that was part of why I suggested a playset that had a lot of backdrop panels and such, because dio-setups could probably look workable with deluxes and that sort to walk around and pose in front of. When unfolded as a play venue, not a storage thing. But a full-on...
I'm sure Swoop will be along at some point, maybe even this year.
But now I'm thinking of how hilarious it would be if they did release a comic style Dinobot with the swords and it was Swoop instead of Grimlock. People everywhere would be up in arms about that instead, because surely then...
I should really stop looking at these pictures. Shockwave I'm coming to terms with because the comic shading looks more like weird camo the more I look at it. But Stupid Sexy Grimlock, man. Just, that gorgeous blue (and to a slightly lesser extent that lovely sunny yellow) is calling to me more...
It's a clever pack-in that might tip it over to Get for some. The base figure is gorgeous in those colors, and has his crown, and these are a great extra that are much better than blast effects (which I like well enough, but actual wieldable accessories are preferable).
I really like how this purple on Shockwave looks, and those colors absolutely pop on Grimlock. But I have no room in the budget or storage for these right now (and I'm fine with my current SS86 Grimlock), sadly. Maybe I'll try to get the Shockers later on, but not at retail? I'll need the time...
Tbh, if any playset (even the exact sort I've been describing) wound up as a Haslab offering, it'd have to be an automatic pass for me. That would bring it a fair bit beyond a fun novelty I can try out and have space for.
I can see God Ginrai winding up as a Haslab thing, but I don't think it needs it. Unless it has to be designed and produced as a set like Victory Saber, or made huge for some reason.
Powermaster Prime by himself would seem to be doable as a Commander class release, considering the concept isn't...
To be fair, that's about a decade plus in the past, and was followed by at least one bigger play base for smaller bots that did have a "big robot" mode. Come to think of it, playsets in general have kind of not been the TF team's thing for some time.
But I agree that turning from one mode into...
You're forgetting that if the new starting point were two Commanders, their new whining demand would be for both to be at the Leader price point, widening that gap again. Moving goalposts make everything pointless.
But yeah, I get being salty. It's rough to have to miss out, but it's also...
I always go back to this, such as in that "make a whole toyline concept" thread where I essentially went all in on playsets. But a proper playset right now would just be incredibly refreshing to see. Something designed from the ground up as one, the whole thing dedicated to that rather than a...
Great, now I have to buy it. That'll show em.
Ehh, not really. I like the colors and some of the execution of the different rock striation pattern whatever. But I don't really have room for a whole new rockbot faction. Still, if these get even more interesting redecos, I can be talked into it...
Yeah, even Leader would be pushing it a bit. I'd be fine with a Voyager, really. The key thing is it has to be an all new mold.
Or if they MUST get a G1ish Megs out of it, do a Universe 2.0 Sideswipe/Sunstreaker and prepare a tooling that uses the back as the front, and folds down or...
Brawn's lower legs give me SUPER third party vibes. Cannot unvibe. I've held off on getting one. The only other one I delayed getting was Beachcomber, because that was such a lateral move from the POTP one. But I went and got even that ahead of Brawn.
