The more I think about the whole "reboot or not" debate surrounding Bumblebee, Rise of the Beasts, and this movie, the more I begin to realize that all these post-TLK movies seem willing to mainly/only keep continuity with the 2007 movie, but none of the sequels.
Bumblebee threw out TLK's claim...
The Fallen, Vector Prime, and Nexus Prime all were, at least. Furman grandfathered in Prima and Liege Maximo, which made sense. And Furman was the one who first came up with the idea for the Thirteen.

Reading the fine print of the press release, it sounds like Hasbro isn't fully giving Power Rangers away to Playmates, but more like the two companies have entered into a partnership where Hasbro is licensing part of the brand to allow Playmates to make a MMPR line of toys aimed at young kids...
A certain mainstream Disney character having the same name may also be a factor, here.
Or maybe Hasbro just doesn't want her to have a second name and don't feel that Elita needs to have a similar life-changing body upgrade since she's neither a Matrix-bearer nor a faction leader.
