I am glad that Christmas Prime is pretty "on brand" for Christmas, unlike the tragic misunderstanding that led to the poorly received Arbor Day Optimus Prime:
That Christmas Prime is stupid in the best way and I think I have to have it. It also helps that it actually looks like a really good new Optimus mold and a licensed Volvo to boot.
Hoping it's not too expensive.
I have to assume that as long as the add-on kits are additions to their products and not replacements for, I don't see why they'd care. I'm sure in some cases, the ability to improve a base Hasbro figure might be the thing that pushes some people over the line into making a purchase that they...
Thanks for the comparison picture. I'll probably let this one pass by me. Given the choice between the two, I would probably pick the SS86 version, but I don't think it's better enough to justify the upgrade since I've already got Ironhide at home.
That's more or less what I had heard, which is part of why I never worked TOO hard at catching back up. I really liked Capaldi as an actor and enjoyed his version of the Doctor, but the stories were getting less-and-less well written.
That's interesting. I'm way behind on Doctor Who. I missed a couple of episodes in a row during Capaldi's era and just never did get back to watching. I do have D+, so that would let me catch up at my leisure.
You got a little Valvoline guy! Nice.
If you're going for a "vehicle maintenance" type theme, maybe Hoist or another tow truck? Ooh, 2007 Movie Longarm would be a great choice.
