Well there's a minor problem with that desire. If they ditched the saucer and did the run in the star drive section you're not watching the Enterprise save the day, you're watching the USS Syracuse save the day. Which would kind off defeat the purpose.

Has anyone watched this? I've caught the first four episodes. I went into this completely blind and the trailer reveals more than even knew about going in. It's a very interesting show that doesn't take itself too seriously. It's kind of got "Preacher Lite" vibes in terms of tone.

Until Picard Season 3 SNW was my favorite "new" Trek show, but that guy playing Kirk ranks as one of the worst casting choices ever.
