That video reminds me of how superior the leaping effects were in 1989 compared to today. Not to mention at least Al had a door. It will be cool to see his daughter use the old handlink. I'm still irritated by the lack of clarity about the "mind leaping" though instead of body replacement.

Yeah the original series seemed to heavily lean towards the supernatural being real. Ironically this episode just straight up said "Nah, that jive ain't real. It was drugs!" Definitely didn't have the weight of Sam's Halloween adventure with Satan, which even had a ton of subtle context clues...

I liked this episode a lot. Shame Jodie got a raw deal through her entire run and Chinball took it upon himself to tarnish the legacy. But I genuinely enjoyed this episode a lot. I thought the writing and pacing were leaps and bounds above anything we've seen in a long time.

Yeah it was a little girl, so they absolutely weren't put off by it. That's who they WANT to be happy. I missed it in my questions recap but the way this question was answered as "anything's possible" it might be something we can certainly expect.
