Gotta Catch 'Em All! - Pokémon Thread

It's weird. I was excited for Sun/Moon. I was excited for Sword/Shield. I was excited for Arceus. But I'm feeling absolutely nothing for this. I can't even put my finger on why. I'm just not on the edge of my seat waiting for the next bit of info like usual. I mean, I'm still probably going to...

He-Man, and also the Masters of the Universe

You can find Origins Roboto on eBay. It's quite a bit more expensive than it would've been at retail. But given how long ago that wave was and how impossible it is to find on store shelves, your chances for a reasonable price may be gone.

You'd like to think that wouldn't you? Still always better to read the label first.

    31 Days of Halloween (2022)

I may add that to my list of things to get after payday. Meantime, I still have two more movies to watch in the Fraser trilogy. I can't seem to find my Scorpion King DVD. Not a huge loss. Not a great movie. But it did have Godsmack's video on it for I Stand Alone. I'm gonna have to kick myself...

    Ninja Turtles - Cowabunga!

Well, BBTS finally processed my order for Adventures Slash. So I guess I'll be getting it soon. Kinda wish they would've waited a couple days for payday. But I guess that's the risk a person takes when preordering. I'll have pictures when it arrives.

    31 Days of Halloween (2022)

So, after watching the Boris Karloff Mummy, I wanted to revisit the Brendan Fraser version. I'd only seen it once before (Off Netflix I believe). I'm still watching it as I write this. Question, is it just me or does Fraser's character remind anyone else of Nathen Drake?

    Castlevania

Look, I know when it comes to Metroidvania games, part of the experience is unavoidably going to contain a certain amount of trial and error exploration as well as a decent dose of backtracking. But I really must express myself when it comes to Harmony of Dissonance. Hug you, developer's. Hug...

    Morbius

Same. I watched it just now on Netflix just because why not. It was okay. It felt like the first half was a kind of Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde type monster horror which I enjoyed. The second half just became yet another comic action movie which is just so boring these days. The credit stingers...the...

    31 Days of Halloween (2022)

I really wasn't sure what to expect from Hunchback. I'd never seen any version of it, not even the Disney version. I mean, I knew in the Disney version, Quasimodo was a good guy. But then Disney even tried to make Maleficent and Cruella sympathetic if not good guys. So I wasn't taking their...

Random Thoughts From Out of Nowhere

Story time: Oh yeah, I have Nier Automata. I kinda remember having fun with that, though I don't think I did much more than the first ending. Hmm, half an hour to download ever. Oh, what the heck! Let's try it. Oh, I have endings: A, G, K, T, W. Inhave no clue what the hug that even. Means...

Mayhems tangled mess of controler cords

I've said it before, but I'm really split on this. On the one hand, I have a PS5 myself and would like to have more games take full advantage of its capabilities. It's pretty crappy to have shelled out hundreds of dollars for a system they still aren't using to its full potential in order to...

    31 Days of Halloween (2022)

Oh, I'm not denying that at all. My post wasn't mean as a condemnatio. If anything, it was a defense of these movies. I've been watching them this week and can't help but notice that these movies would not be made this way toda. All you need to see as proof would be the remakes that have come...

    31 Days of Halloween (2022)

Parodies only make light of old movies because they're old. They're made with old tech, old cultural sensibilitie, old Hays Code restrictions. I wonder what iconography today's movies will be remembered for in 90 years.

Random Thoughts From Out of Nowhere

Okay, you may or may not follow these guys. So you may or may not get the inside jokes. But the sheer amount of self awareness in this video, I absolutely have to share it.

    IDW G5 #5

I watched the movie, the first episode of Make Your Mark and I think like 2 or 3 of the YouTube episodes. I also read issues 1-5 of the comic. The movie was good. YouTube did absolutely nothing for me. The comics... I stopped reading G4 because it just felt too shallow. G5 feels shallow and too...

    [OOC] STOMP Remembrance Project

Oh there's so much good here. Splash gets redeemed. Rhapsody shows her compassionate side. Static sees Amber has a naughty streak. I did enjoy Static's rather bi-polar treatment of Splash. Like he was rooting for her to be redeemed, but he wasn't giving her any slack either.

    31 Days of Halloween (2022)

I watched Invisible Man last night. It was...I guess it was pretty good for a movie, but for a movie included on a set of horror movies, I just don't see it. Whereas some of these movies are humorous because of outdated SFX and values dissonance, this one seemed to be deliberately comedic...

    Ninja Turtles - Cowabunga!

This is out today. The art was good (maybe a little too good for representing an 80's cartoon but I ain't complaining). They threw in just about every villain they could think of. But it makes sense in the context of the story and I rather enjoyed it. The humor overall was much less whacky than...
