Why was there a lack of fanfare for the 20th anniversary of a Beast Wars and could have this have caused Primal to win the prime fan vote?

And how would that be done when there is no sign of the Matrix of Leadership anywhere during the Beast Era?

Buzzworthy Bumblebee - the "everything goes" toyline

The Siege Seekers were an attempt to directly replicate the Tetrajets as seen in the cartoon. They even had their cartoon robot modes with the fake F-15 parts.

Why was there a lack of fanfare for the 20th anniversary of a Beast Wars and could have this have caused Primal to win the prime fan vote?

Well, let me ask you this. What exactly does it mean to be a Prime in the Beast Era age of the Maximals and Predacons, which is a point in time when individuals like Optimus Prime and Rodimus Prime no longer exist, and the factions are instead headed by government councils instead of Matrix of...

Buzzworthy Bumblebee - the "everything goes" toyline

The only thing they're doing differently is not covering Bee and Jazz in gratuitous greeble and battle damage. The design philosophy is still the same.

Why was there a lack of fanfare for the 20th anniversary of a Beast Wars and could have this have caused Primal to win the prime fan vote?

So? It's still a Matrix. And not every Prime even has a Matrix. None of the Primes from Animated did, for example. Yet Optimus, Sentinel, Rodimus, etc. all still bore the rank of Prime. Heck, even Shockwave was a Prime in that series, having earned the rank under his "Longarm" alias.

Why was there a lack of fanfare for the 20th anniversary of a Beast Wars and could have this have caused Primal to win the prime fan vote?

You're asking if a commander-type character with "Prime" in his name should be considered a Prime.

Buzzworthy Bumblebee - the "everything goes" toyline

Except they kept touting Siege as being directly inspired by the first few scenes of that old episode. Heck, that's why the entire line used the design philosophy of "The robot modes must look faithful enough to the G1 cartoon models (from the front) no matter what nonsense altmode they turn...

    Transformers Legacy toyline

Despite the name, Big Convoy isn't actually all that big. He's the same height in robot mode as Lio Convoy and Optimus Primal. Even his original toy was shorter than both of theirs, while both of their MPs were scaled to the height of his original toy. Conversely, Magmatron is huge. He towers...

Cybertronian Wheeljack would have happened in Siege if he (and Spinister) had won the fan vote that Impactor and Mirage won instead.

And given how much this fandom still resents the very existence of Primacron as a character, I can't imagine a toy of him being all that popular.

A trip down memory lane TF websites from the past

Here's Fox Kids's old RID2001 website. Lotta Flash content that's either long gone or in need of an emulator to play, some character profiles taken from show's production bible, and a description of the show in the "About" section.

Some places still have Encore Big Convoy in stock. It's a perfectly fine figure, and was made as a companion piece to go with the Masterpiece release of Lio Convoy, in lieu of an actual MP Big Convoy mold. And its deco is show-accurate. I recommend anyone wanting a Big Convoy to pick it up. You...
