Wow those nasty painted baby blue windows make Prowl and Ironhide look awful. Awful. Battle damage seems naff too, and I really think people would have preferred a straight reissue of these. I feel sorry for people who were not able to get Prowl the first time.
The four pack looks great though...
Yeah, I would just say that was Jetfire really.
I guess I was wrong about this one - perhaps Hasbro's lawyers didn't consider the deal large enough to be market sensitive information. Still, nice to see new books. Hopefully we get the older IDW content reissued by Skybound in short order.
Depends on if the Combiner Wars mould is still usable/financially viable I guess. Might be for a subline. Is HFTD Tomahawk considered a "modern" tooling at this point?
Oof, that Shadow Striker is terrible. What the heck is that alt mode supposed to be.
At least she has clear windows, but it's clear that the cost cutting for Legacy deluxes has reached a point where you cannot successfully make a Transforming robot out of it.
It made me literally laughed out loud when they claimed he had painted windows "fitting in with the Studio Series" look. Literally only one single studio series toy (other than a couple of vehicles with tiny windows) above core class in the entire history of the line has had painted windows...
I laughed the other day that James Roberts tweeted something he'd found in his notebooks showing that the character who turned out to be Tarn was basically intended to be from that character's conception. He didn't expect anyone to believe it.
Yeah, I don't really value the playset idea, it would have to be so vast to be good it'll never happen.
Also the shape of the Nemesis would inevitably mean a fairly rubbish playset.
Huh, much more explicit about Unicron as the baddie then.
I don't think even Paramount know if this is a reboot at this point or not though. Everything seems a bit low energy in that trailer.
Not expecting that much here, but I guess it's possible it will result in some more Mattel brand Crossover figures?
Reuse ROTB Cheetor's engineering as MOTU Battlecat? A licensed Thomas Transformer?
I suspect the rights issues around the Daleks put that on the "very hard" category, and I guess Hasbro might not be super keen on admitting to the very litigious Terry Nation estate that they'd had a transformer who turned into one without paying them for thirty years.
Of that list Citadel Secundus is the only one that seems pretty unlikely to get anything in the foreseeable, just because they're less likely to take the punt on something obscure for a Titan sized toy.
There are plenty of UK comic characters that might be behind that though. Can't see us...
The rumoured Straxus was a jet though I thought?
(Which was hopefully wrong, as you say a Galvatron retool like New Age did with theirs would be wayyy better.)
NGL, I am pretty irritated that they wasted tooling for Breakdown giving him a second but virtually identical head tooling instead of fixing the many, many issues with the alt mode of that toy.
