It's two parts for the helmet side to side, with a face glued on (which is why the face and eyes look a little better).
The thing is it's not just misaligned - cutting it in half and re-gluing wouldn't help much. The parts just fundamentally don't match up all the way around. It's like they did...
Jackpot arrived today from Hasbro Pulse. He's pretty bad!
The Autobot logo isn't tampoed right so it's really dark, and the head is just... a total mess. Tolerances feel pretty poor compared to Jazz too.
That's not wrong tbh.
I am still absolutely baffled about how Hasbro ended up in a situation where that scene was in a film made of their IP designed for kids. It completely boggles the mind. They must have script approval, surely? Why didn't they immediately nix it?
Not really, it's literally a retool of MP Bumblebee (as in the limbs are the same tooling), it doesn't fit the SS86 parts count limits at all. Slag is nice, but he's pretty obviously not an MP.
All of these repainted as new characters would be pretty neat, shame it's unlikely to happen for on-screen movie designs. I saw a digibash of Brawn as Doomguy that looked really good.
I wonder if a third party will make a cockpit that folds out from the back for Soundwave's alt mode. It'd look...
FWIW Ravage was offered directly to specialist retailers outside the US (even in the UK, which has Hasbro Pulse).
The Pit of Judgement was not, so Ravage should have significantly wider availability in general.
Even better, could we get some bios for the characters in Kingdom who didn't get them (mainly the Fossilisers).
Another one from me - international distribution has been failing even worse than normal recently. How are fans expected to keep up with the line when the likes of the Buzzworthy...
Is there any hope that the line will move to higher price points in exchange for undoing recent cost cutting (thinner plastic walls, more hollowness, MABS plastic etc)?
No interest in Laser Prime, he is just ultimately the original but worse. Having said that he doesn't look terrible for modern part budgets. Scourge might be tempting if he's not miserable to get hold of being a Warmart exclusive. Dragstrip looked fine, but in lots of ways he's by far the...
I think the worrying thing is that it seems like Wave 3 of Kingdom wasn't just an aberration, but there's been another permanent reduction in costs and parts counts. That's going to suck, because that wave was bad.
I can't really see the point of making Prime toys in Prime's art style tbh. You will be getting the toys we already got but worse due to smaller budgets. Why? If you want those reissues would be better for toys in genuine demand.
I mean, I loved the original RID but every RID homage toy from...
Ooff, neither of those look very good at all. Cost cutting is really beginning to heavily damage the line. Skids just looks half finished due to lack of parts count. Bulkhead just looks ill concieved.
I'm also surprised they didn't stick a fourth tier on at the end to be honest, even if it was something fairly simple like additional sword blades. Or a Unicron-esque sprue of filler pieces.
