    Ghostbusters General

I think Egon in Afterlife comes across to me more like a spy who had to go into deep cover for his assignment; he had the best intentions, but the effect to his friends and family was he appeared to have abandoned them. I wonder about Summerville; similarity in name to Sumeria aside, we know...

    Anime

Space Battleship Yamato/Starblazers I'm going to guess InuYasha? "Life is a lot more exciting now that I remembered I am really a notorious space pirate with an android girlfriend and a superpowerful secret weapon" "I want to be the world's greatest race car driver, but will I ever find out...

    Anime

So, I was in the shower this morning thinking about anime (as one would), and kind of musing over the modern trend of having like a mini-plot synopsis as the title of a series. Now, Back In The Day (when dinosaurs ruled the earth), most anime would just have a cool-sounding title that might or...

Transformers Collaborative (Transformers X Sonic the Hedgehog)

As others have said, it's hard to describe Stranger Things without spoiling it. The only thing I would really add to what's already been described is that there is a fair amount of scientific experimentation without ethical consideration, of the rogue government agency variety, which obviously...

Peter Cullen To Receive Lifetime Achievement Award

Welker deserved it for sure; he's been more voices and sound effects than probably any of us really know. Not that Peter Cullen doesn't deserve it, too. He's been the iconic voice of KARR in Knight Rider, Ramrod in Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs, the intro voice from Voltron, and both Tank...

    Studio Series 86 Appreciation Thread

I've only found the 2-packs at one nearby Walmart so far, and saw no evidence of the Jazz/Gnaw set. Either a troop-builder got them all, or they don't have very common distribution compared to the rest.

    Transformers Legacy toyline

Gotta agree, remolding on Core class is pretty rare (this is the main reason why I still collect Deluxe and Voyager, really). On the other hand, we did get pretooling or something for Core Ironhide and Ratchet, and Dinoking was almost everyone's first thought when the Core Dinobots got...

Energon Universe - ongoing Transformers and G.I. Joe comics from Skybound

It is also early days for these titles. We are still in the world-building stages of all these stories, so it's a little soon to judge how well they are really handling it. If these crossovers are still 2-page hi-and-bye moments a couple years from now, then maybe they need to work on their...

Energon Universe - ongoing Transformers and G.I. Joe comics from Skybound

I think this is my biggest concern about this whole shared universe thingy. Since it's explicitly so right from the start, hopefully all the writers involved have a shared vision or roadmap that will come together eventually and make sense to us readers. So far (I am a couple issues behind...

    Ghostbusters General

Generally, I think Answer the Call is an okay entry; the biggest detractor for me was Bill Murray's cameo (and I can't really say why, I just didn't like it? The other cameos were fine). I can also see how some people might be off-put by the humor, but it's really not a bad little movie, and did...

The Kaiju Thread of Building-Smashing, Flame-Breathing, and Slam-Dunking

I don't dislike that, but it is definitely different from the usual Ultraman formula...curious to see where it goes.

Customs Noah Diaz Exo-Suit as B.A.T. Trooper

That looks really sharp! If I find another Noah in the wild, I might just have to copy it!

The Kaiju Thread of Building-Smashing, Flame-Breathing, and Slam-Dunking

When you share 1 washer, and everyone hits laundry day on the same day, the battles are epic... Picked up Bandai's 1973 Godzilla from the Godzilla store. It's a good representation of this era's Godzilla suit, although his dorsal plates are pretty silver, so could easily double as Mechagodzilla...

    Transformers Legacy toyline

We still have drop boxes around here (confirmed last night), but I'm sure that varies a lot from region to region. This link might be helpful for finding drop-off locations: https://www.toysfortots.org/find-your-local-chapter/

I think so, but if they don't, local police and fire departments often do.

The Kaiju Thread of Building-Smashing, Flame-Breathing, and Slam-Dunking

I think the Jet Jaguar film stems from a suit recreation; last year it was classic Gigan (separate from the Gigan Rex film), and of course Hedorah before that. I guess they could have shown JJ grow from human size, but it wasn't necessary for the plot of this short. Maybe next year? I wonder...

Love that Sky-Byte mold, and would welcome more repaints of it (also fire truck armor, but that's a little more involved...) And that Gobots is inspired!

Energon Universe - ongoing Transformers and G.I. Joe comics from Skybound

For what it's worth, As far as Transformer deaths go, traditionally across most media Cybertronians are pretty hard to kill, and even when they're 'dead' tend to come back when the story and/or new toys on the shelf demand. We've yet to see how hard they are to kill in the Energon universe, but...
