    Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

In my opinion, Bumblebee did the "boy and his car" story better than the first TF live-action; Sam hocks stuff on ebay to get cash and scams his teacher into giving him grades so his daddy will buy him a car, then doesn't even lift the hood or even seem to try to work on it. Conversely, Charlie...

    The Repaint Concept Thread

I think it would be cool to see that mold in a variety of colors: blue, yellow, purple, orange, red, gray or silver. Probably just the weird part of me that likes to see more than the "standard" color schemes. But I feel like this is one that particularly lends itself to multiple color options.

G.I. Joe thread - 09/13/2024: Pulsecon - Dreadnoks, Dogs and Cereal

I think I'd rather see Lanard or Spin Master do new Joe vehicles, if only because of the price. Not saying I've never paid full price for a Super7 offering, but I watch for clearance prices pretty closely. That said, S7 has some pretty far-out ideas, and they are likely to do some interesting...

    Transformers: EarthSpark

The characters all deserve larger figures if only to properly convey the nuances and details of the characters. For instance, Earthspark Arcee's "Princess Leia buns" appear to be designed to invoke the bullet detailing on many vintage cars. I know I sound like a broken record, but I really...

    Transformers: EarthSpark

I hope there are more Earthspark toys in the pipeline. Hashtag and Arcee deserve Warrior class figures, at least, not just the Tacticon finger puppets (they're better than I thought they would be, but still not as good as I want, oddly remind me of the tiny Gyrozetter figures). Would really...

    Anime

I mean, that's not an entirely incorrect description of Azumanga Daioh, but it WAS based on a Manga that was largely written in 4-panel segments (like a newspaper comic), so the anime kind of managed to recreate that feel. Now, Cromartie High was a great slice of life anime...

G1 Transformers Size, Power, and Mass

Unlike the Western version of the Seacons, all the Masterforce Seacons except Turtler/Snaptrap were portrayed as disposable drones. In most episodes, you will see several of each type, not just one. So they aren't regenerating, the Destrons are just building more or have more just waiting to be...

    Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

If it wasn't the Terrorcons' ship, I would read it as advanced technology based on tech salvaged from the Terrorcons and/or Cybertronians in general. The Joes clearly know they are up against technology beyond normal human devising, and have to be preparing for an eventual confrontation.

Transformers Retro series (Walmart TFTM Reissues)

I think Rodimus Major was 19.99 at TRU when it came out. I can't complain too much about the Walmart reissues. I got Blaster for like $3 on clearance, and Soundwave and the Cassettes for around $20 total. At full price, though, yeah, they're kind of pricey.

    Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

Exactly this. My fear is that this practice will eventually hurt the availability of legitimate physical copies. I never want to depend entirely on any streaming service for what I watch.

    Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

I guess I'm glad it's getting a physical copy, at least. All these kids and their streaming services need to get off my lawn!

    Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

Mook is slang for a stupid or incompetent person. In this case, used similar to "minion", but with the added connotation of being too dumb to avoid getting killed easily.

G.I. Joe thread - 09/13/2024: Pulsecon - Dreadnoks, Dogs and Cereal

That makes an even better Dreadnok machine than a Batmobile! And, you're right, there was definitely an art to the scale of Joe vehicles; big enough to look realistic next to the Joes, but small enough to keep the cost reasonable.

G.I. Joe thread - 09/13/2024: Pulsecon - Dreadnoks, Dogs and Cereal

It is interesting that they are creating a new Cobra minion with an overt Transformers connection. The Zombie Viper and Toxo-Zombie were existing Cobra Zombies, but they chose to forge a new path. If I was collecting Classified beyond the BATs, I would be very intrigued by this.

    The Repaint Concept Thread

Okay, weird tangent, but in another thread it was pointed out that the Seacons in the Marvel comic were supposedly brought to earth to work on a construction project. So now, I'm curious to see the Seacons in Constructicon colors (either the same as the Constructicons or with purple the primary...
