Well, ok, but what did she say? Trump says Jan 6 exploded into something he didn't mean to happen, but when you analyze what he said and did, it is difficult not to come at least to the conclusion that he could have suspected it would happen.
He didn't really choose the Haitians exactly. You can only talk so much about geography and statistics before people are bored. If you really want to scare them you need a specific threat. And since illegal immigrants work hard not to draw attention to themselves, it isn't the easiest thing...
The goal posts just moved on me!
Yes, when I do it, it's just a mistake. I wasn't comparing that to him making up lies. I was comparing to him saying Pennsylvania when he was somewhere else.
I know and we just get used to it, but seriously each individual total lie is more important than saying the wrong place he is giving a speech. It always sounds dumb every time someone does it, but I call my daughters the wrong name too and it isn't because I have dementia or I don't care about...
While funny, I really don't think misnaming the place you're making a speech in a period when you are flying around making speeches everywhere is a very important metric of anything. I'm more concerned about the rest of the sentence. He is reminding them of a 2000% increase in something and I...
After action report - I am flummoxed and encouraged. My dad does not know how Vance or Walz are. It is encouraging because he has soured enough on Trump that he is not even paying attention to this race.
He's still going to go vote for Trump, I THINK, because he is team red. It hardly...
One of the dumbest unforced errors of the night was how much time Trump spent talking about how obstructionists had kept him from replacing ObamaCare with something so much better and then not being about to say, after 7 years, that he knew what he would replace it with given the chance. You do...
I am having lunch with my dad tomorrow. Maybe I should ask him about Vance. My bias might be getting in the way, but to me he seems empty and smarmy, regardless of his politics. I don't think I would like him in any case.
I suppose a reasonable answer (to a question about a totally unreasonable claim!) would be that if elected he could stop the war in November because of the reality of what he'll be able to do come January if they don't. But he needs that threat legitimized by the vote.
If Trump wins, the war will continue to drag on. He doesn't have the clout to have Ukraine surrender and the rest of NATO is more directly worried about the situation than the USA. Trump doesn't have a way of ending the war. It is just bluster.
I think if the US pulled all support and Europe...
