  1. A Long Time Ago In a Galaxy Far, Far Away.... - Star Wars General Discussion

I am not saying I hate it. I'm still in the story. But
  2. "Former" Whistleblower?

I feel like we're getting really close.
  3. "Former" Whistleblower?

It really depends. If you are on a spacewalk and the door won't open it might kill you. What I want is for Boeing to develop a door that works correctly.
  4. "Former" Whistleblower?

Here I was worried that Boeing's space capsule's door would fall off and what actually happened was they had to spend a couple hours trying to figure out how to get the door to open.
  5. Transformers the Movie Soundtrack

I started a similar thread a few years ago because "Instruments of Destruction" was running though my head on the way to work and it suddenly dawned on me that it might be "A Violent Eruption". I had always heard "It's a Vile Interruption" and a lot of places (including my Echo show, I think)...
  6. Transformers the Movie Soundtrack

I am too, but it still doesn't sound like it to me.
  7. Star Trek General Discussion

It is serious. Novel writers, at least, immediately knew it was a big mistake to kill off the character. I have only read a few books, but T'Pol knew he was still alive and I think Archer eventually did too.
  8. Transformers the Movie Soundtrack

Ok, for starters I am listening on my Echo Show right now and the lyrics go on the screen and in "Dare to be Stupid" I have never understood the reference to buying some Lane before it's tame. There is a giant furniture store that advertised heavily on my TV as a kid and I knew Lane was a...
  9. Star Trek General Discussion

The death was faked so he could join Section 31.
  10. Star Trek General Discussion

I resented killing Trip because I was thinking there was potential for a movie series after the end of the show, but that didn't happen anyway. In the books, they brought Trip back to life immediately.
  11. Star Trek: Discovery

It ended a week ago for some of you, but just ended for me a few minutes ago. That's the most maudlin Star Trek finale I believe. And Picard really went for it. I really don't think it was necessary to set up that Short Trek. It was enough what they did in the time shifting episode...
  12. Traitor Watch - The 45 & 47 Thread

I think it might just be human nature to make things about your bottom. My daughter just mentioned "the crack of dawn" while playing and I remembered this conversation and remembered that I sometimes hear people instead say "The a**crack of dawn" for absolutely no good reason.
  13. A Long Time Ago In a Galaxy Far, Far Away.... - Star Wars General Discussion

I really don't know where people put this stuff.
  14. Gotta Catch 'Em All! - Pokémon Thread

I just finished Detective Pikachu. When it was coming out (I can't believe it was 5 years ago), I thought it would be fun, but I didn't go see it. My daughter is getting big into Pokemon (and she is the age I was when Transformers came out) and I have learned a lot about Pokemon lately and the...
  15. A Long Time Ago In a Galaxy Far, Far Away.... - Star Wars General Discussion

I liked episode 1. Familiar, but establishing a different time period/culture pretty well. I expected a larger role for Carrie Anne Moss, but she did her part really well. The episode felt satisfyingly long.
  16. A Long Time Ago In a Galaxy Far, Far Away.... - Star Wars General Discussion

Sabine wasn't left behind. She was delivered to right where she needs to be.
  17. Traitor Watch - The 45 & 47 Thread

There are public records, for important reasons, of who voted. There are no records of who you voted for. No one is supposed to know that, much less remember.
  18. Traitor Watch - The 45 & 47 Thread

If they believed they wouldn't lose their own job, they could probably successfully pull off the "Trump really seemed like he was wonderful for America, but then we found out the truth" without enough people looking at how far they stayed on his side. Not too many people watch archival footage...
  19. Traitor Watch - The 45 & 47 Thread

The trouble is the way he plays the game and the simple situation of career politicians. I can't right off name a single Washington, DC politician whose top priority isn't keeping their job or getting a better one. A lot of them don't mind helping out our nation as long as it lines up with the...
  20. Traitor Watch - The 45 & 47 Thread

I had wondered if the sheer historicity of it would hold jurors back. I think I would feel that in the jury room despite not liking the guy and feeling the case was very clearly against him. To whatever extent that is important, this jury surmounted it and his next jury won't have to think...
