I remember that one!
I want to go back to that era of the internet. So bad.
Not me. I hated having to wait 15-30 minutes for each webpage to finish loading. Dial up was the pits.
That's where being in college came in handy, and after that, DSL.
(Man, remember a few years before and after Y2K where people were freaking out thinking that the phone companies were going to run out of numbers because every suburban household was going to need their regular landline, a second number (or more) for their kids, a third for the dial-up internet, and a fourth for the ever popular... home fax machine?

I printed so many pages from the library. I bet i still have the binder i made...*somewhere.* Top tier all around.
Qft. Before the internet devolved into a giant mall.
Edit: I've mentioned it before, but to me, The Allspark feels connected to those early TF sites in the best way. It's one of the many reasons why this place has been my internet home for so long.
I experienced WebTV. Normal dialup was lightning in comparison.
That internet with today's speeds.
Yes. We're not even getting the benefits we should be getting out of today's speeds because modern websites are so bogged down by unnecessary stuff. Let's go back.

Cool little site; not sure if I ever visited that one. I guess the Beast Machines Area never made it past the "Under Construction" phase! And it is kind of quaint to see references to the Movie at a time when there was only one Movie.

The links page is always a trip. It would be hard to go back to that after getting used to powerful search engines, but I do miss the camaraderie of fan sites propping each other up like that.
One of my first websites I crept around was Lukis Bros. https://www.unicron.com/ Back during the BeastWars era I followed it almost religiously. I loved the Bios pages they were building for each character.

I used to be a news admin for them, up until the forums had to be closed down due to a combination of the news feed being moved to Facebook and the forums suffering rampant spam attacks.
I have all six of their accessory packs.
