Anyone here fans of Horror Anthology shows?

So first some context: Every year I run a Halloween stream. We usually watch random movies but this year we're switching it up just a little.

Which is where the title of this thread comes into play. I want to show various episodes of 'spooky' or horror anthology shows. I plan to end the stream with the Tales from the Darkside movie, but also plan on showing some Are you afraid of the dark? An old tv show called Monsters, and am looking into some Tales from the Crypt/Outer Limits/ even some Twilight Zone stuff.

If it's possible, would anyone be able to give me some suggestions of episodes or even shows that I could play? Like for The Twilight Zone, I'm wondering if there are any decent/good episodes that maybe people don't really know about? I mean everyone knows about the "Creature on the plane wing" and "It's a cookbook!" I'd be looking for something that might actually surprise people.

Also Monsters can have some actual scary episodes, but also some really silly episodes. If the show has both, I'd like to show one of each. I always like to start the stream with some silly spooky stuff before we get to the actual scary stuff.

Of course given I want to stream these, I'm kinda looking for some old stuff that people probably aren't going to care I'm streaming them. Like I doubt anyone even knows who owns the license to that Monsters show. I also don't want to mess with anything Disney. That's simply too risky.

Thank you for any help.

Cripes, those are nightmare fuel. Granted I probably won't be as scared if I watch them now but, still.

Hmm, Twilight Zone's The Burning Man is a title i remember. The others might be a mix from Monsters or Darkside or Amazing Stories or Outer Limits. I'll have to look them up but

- teacher who is influenced by a gargoyle statue and starts getting violent
- Ray Bradbury short titled Gotcha
- Twilight Zone, the shadow that comes out of a kids bed. I'm pretty sure the shadow kills him in the end.
- Monsters where the bed eats people who sleep on it

Not particularly scary but my fav episode of Twilight Zone is "The Hunt"
I got curious and read the summary on wiki.

Dude. Wow.

I do have some Twilight Zone type faves that aren't scary but stay with me cuz of sentimentality. And the fact that I don't understand the story so bothered me, even up to now. Like, what in heavens was "One Life, Furnished in Early Poverty"?

I don't need it to be scary, just good, and given what I'm seeing this looks pretty good. I'm also sure it's not likely one of the well known ones, so I'm adding it to my batch. Thank you!

One somewhat lesser known series you might want to look up is 'Night Gallery' also by Rod Sterling; and I think has ONLY ever been Homaged in Simpsons and maybe Tiny Toon Adventures. It's got some really good stuff in there, but its been years since I seen any of it.

Alright the stream is This Saturday and I'm over loaded with content now. Had to cut a few small things. Sadly a small segment of Night Gallery was among it, but I feel I have a solid line up.

An episode of the Cryptkeepr cartoon. Two episodes of the actual show. (One goofy, one serious) Two episodes of the Monsters show. (Again one goofy, one serious)

We've got an Amazing Stories episode about an actor stuck in a mummy costume. An episode of Freddy's Nightmares. An episode of "A Perversion of Science" (Which for some reason I thought was made by the twilight zone writers, but it's actually from the same minds that did Tales of the Crypt. Only had ten episodes, and most are just alright. I grabbed what most consider the best of the bunch.)

I've got one Night Gallery episode. A question of fear. I decided since I'm doing the Freddy show, I'd show the first episode of the poorly named TV series "Friday the 13th" which has nothing to do with the movie franchise.

I grabbed that one Twilight Zone episode mentioned. The Hunt. Because damn it I liked it too.

Really excited for the three episodes of "Are you afraid of the dark?" I grabbed. Ever since I heard of the special "Tale of the silver sight" I've wanted to watch it. I'm making this year the year I get around to it finally.

Figured someone would want Goosebumps, so I grabbed the only episode of that I actually loved. (Most were either meh or just okay) Night in Terror Tower.

Then I have my favorite Outer Limit episode that I've seen. (No I haven't seen them all) It's the 90's version. An episode called "In another Life"

Then we're staring with a Scooby Doo movie. (Samurai Sword is winning the poll)

And we'll end everything off with "Tales from the Darkside the movie."

Hopefully everyone has fun. Thank you so much for the suggestions!
