Fort Wayne is a heck of a lot closer to me than New Jersey. I'll have to see how things are working out this year, but I've always wanted to go to a Botcon.

My wife's aunt lives in Fort Wayne, so we might have a place to stay. I'm going to have to keep an eye on this...

Probably end up going. I live only about an hour away.

I'll think of something later.

It's a possibility. My son wants to go and it's not that far from here.

Since it's not on their site and I don't remember, what was the cost of the registration packages last year? Was there a discount for kids? Haywire3 will still be 5 in June, so I guess Im wondering if I should plan on going alone or could afford to bring him along?

Had to do some digging but I found the info.

Last year, there were three options for Registration:
  • Standard Weekend Ticket Package - $99.95
  • Premium Ticket Package - $299.95 (this is the one I went with)
  • VIP Ticket Package - $499.95
The link above lists all of the perks that were included with each.

There was also general admission:
  • Friday and Saturday were each $45
  • Sunday was discounted to $25
Kids 12 and under had FREE admission.

Well, I've requested the week of the convention off as vacation time from my job. One step closer...

I need to see if I'm going to be in town when this is happening. It is only 2 hours north of me so if I can make it, I will.

Seriously considering going. Not only because it's a Toy Robot convention with a heavy slant to robots in disguise, but because Botcon 2000 was my first out-of-state convention (and all it's planning) and my Mom did all the driving. I tossed her the idea of going, repeating our first Big convention (location and route) as her last convention.

NOT IN THE WAY YOU THINK!! Not anything morbid like that. More of a "I'm too old for this jive."
