Toho Godzilla vs Legendary Godzilla
It...kinda depends on which Toho Godzilla you're talking about? Showa era Godzilla would probably lose to Legendary, vs Heisei Goji I think it would be a tie, Millennium era was kind of a mixed bag, but I don't think any of them would beat Legendary, Shin might just go full Evangelion (whether that's a win or loss is up to you, the ending would be confusing and incomprehensible), and Minus One and Legendary would probably tear each other apart (though -1 would quickly regenerate?). Then there's Godzilla Earth from the anime trilogy we don't talk about, who would absolutely dwarf Legendary, and Godzilla Ultima from Singular Point, whose long-range attacks would likely force Legendary to keep his distance.

The short answer is: probably Legendary, in most cases?

The Iron Giant vs Giant Robo?

Toko won that rap battle.
Did Toko win, or "Genocide Jill"? 🤔

Be that as it may, I have to agree -- Though the Act 1/Act 2 reset was well done, and Yuri got in a good verbal jab with "open your third eye, four-eyes" (and unnerved us all with "I'm gently closing the door...."), the alters pretty much double-teamed her (I rather liked "in the courtroom, you'll be another portrait to mark off").

Also, "Kinky Winky" 🤣

Shin Gojira may be the most terrifying and eldritch Godzilla, but all things considered he'd probably lose to Legendary if he gets blasted with a direct hit that wipes out all of his cells. Even then, his ability to regenerate from a single cell is dubiously canon since it was cut from the final movie. tbh I think LegendaryGoji would see it as a mercy killing; as horrifying as he is, poor ShinGoji's in constant, torturous pain.

Honestly the only Gojis that would actually be guaranteed to beat Legendary Goji are Singular Point Goji and (unfortunately) CG anime trilogy Goji.

The match-up fans periodically ask for!
One of the classic crossovers from the Aianime cosplay troupe, back in its day. And with one of those games now 7 years old today (and the other unlikely to ever get out of beta....), well, here we are.

The developer spent more time and resources on the 1980s mode (detailing the adventures of Ayano's mother) than the base game. And then came the allegations of Bad Online Interactions. Supposedly the game is still being worked on, but as with far too many media these days, we're getting a crash course in transpersonal ethics. Given the subject matter, though....

Anyway, I do miss sassycatvoid's live-action Monika, but sometimes she was written as a one-weird-trick pony. Her ultimate "victory" (in a separate video) was less what one would expect, though....

She used her Ren'Py coding skills to transfer Ayano's obsession onto a Squishmallow, effectively taking her out of competition for our attention. It took her a couple of tries, though....

Anyway, I'd call it a draw, overall? Obsessed!Ayano is an nigh-unstoppable force, but Monika's skills and non-diagetic knowledge enable her to get creative....

Shows how long I've been out of the loop, there was no 1980's mode when I played it.
It gave a shot in the arm to enthusiasm for the game, but suffered (in my opinion) from that perilous prequel problem -- we already knew the (canonical) outcome, from the very first Basement Recording and the Tube of You shorts detailing Ayano's childhood.

This is just my opinion, and I'm known for iconoclasm: that being said, I thought it more interesting that Ayano (depending on how one plays her) doesn't have to go the Kill'em All Route, even if she has the same disorder as her mother.

Destron, hard to say. It's been a while since I've watched EG. But if I remember, the only magic Twi has in the EG world is the same magic Sci-Twi also has.

I'm not sure if Twi still gets disoriented whenever she's suddenly walking with only two legs again or not. But if so, it would be a great opportunity for Sci-Twi to get a preemptive strike on her.

Otherwise, it just seems too even to tell.

Something a little more macabre for October....

Also, it may be a bit of a stretch, as one of the opponents in the match was a real person -- although the many varied theories about which real person, coupled with all the appearances and variant takes cropping up in strange tales from Babylon 5 to Anno Dracula make him worthy of inclusion.

And as for the other, we'll he's been in the news of late as well.
