I noticed the right-wing narrative is blaming the supposed bad management of local water supplies, and mismanagement of forestry as demanded by shadowy environmentalists. It’s like how whenever there’s historically bad flooding here*, the right-wing media always immediately blames environmentalists for “banning” the dredging of rivers (they didn’t). It’s going to have to get a lot worse for the ‘regular’ media to even accept that climate change is a thing that is happening…

* yes, unusually severe flooding is the main sign of climate change here in the UK. If we ever get Pacific Palisades style wildfires over here, civilisation has likely already collapsed.
