Creature Commandos animated DCU series

I find myself enjoying the gratuitous violence less and less. Like, the premise seems okay, animation looks lovely, but I don't need the head exploding with eyeballs flying at the screen. Its so overdone and, frankly, tiresome to me. Like, its not shocking, its not advancing the story, its just gore for gore. If I wanted that, i'd rewatch Itchi the Killer.

Watched it all. Seen the plot before but still didn't make sense.

Hmm, I wonder if the effect of someone watching all seven eps is better or worse than if someone watched it one by one?

I think I might have liked it better one by one. Because seeing it all together made just go for the plot discrepancy.

Princess sent Clayface to say the vision was true so Flag could find out so it could be discredited. But there was no tipoff to tell Flag it was fake. Clayface should have had orders to make sure he was found out. Cuz the creatures nearly succeeded in killing the Princess

If I had seen it one at a time, I probably would have liked the 'one ep, one monster backstory' thing. All together tho, I just ended up disliking the music montage that happened for each flashback.

Still, I actually like Weasel (ugh, nice backstory), Phosphorus (ugh, nice new backstory too), Nina (ugh, obviously play with my emotions), Bride (ugh, until she got battle hardened. Btw, doesn't her comic version have four arms?) and GI Robot (don't like his backstory as much but he was my original fave in the line up). Enjoyed Rick Flag Sr but tragic that this role should have been Rick Flag Jr except the movie killed him off while Peacemaker survived. Hated Frankenstein for being bloodthirsty but liked his humor, the dope.

Wow, I actually like the members of the creatures individually, haha

I'm actually not wild about Gunn's theme of always having misfits become a family. It's in Guardians of the Galaxy and Suicide Squad Starro. If the same found family theme pops up in the new Superman (or a music montage), I'm going to roll my eyes. He needs another writer on board.

Since Gunn wrote it, it's canon to the new DC movie verse? No more
Rupert Thorne or Clayface in the new movie continuity?

But Gunn Suicide Squad carries over with Flag Sr around to replace Flag Jr and that cameo at the end? I wouldn't mind Frank Grillo being Flag but cmon, he needs a heavier superhero role. If Joe Manginiello spelling can't be Deathstroke, Frank Grillo can take the role.

No watching it one episode at a time does not make one over look the how stupid the plot twist is. The whole final episode is one big pisstake as far as I am concerned.
Besides the Bullshit with the Princess actually indeed being Evil and that nonsense plot; Why the hug was Nina even on the team? Why is she in the same prison, with a bunch of killers? She has no powers, other then being a fish. She never hurt anyone even when her father was killed right in front of her. Everyone else are killers and criminals or were believed to be in Weasel's case. She's literally their to get fridged, basically so Bride can get her character arc and grow as team leader.

Also i absolutely loath Frankensimp. They've ruined and character and wasted a good actor on him.

Gunn has gone on record saying that Clayface isn't as dead as he seems. And Clayface has a movie in que

Gunn has also stated that Suicide Squad and Peacemaker are "pseudo canon" to Creature Commandos, that events happen but maybe not exactly what were shown.
