I hope every single CIS person who is forced to get spot checked for this law sues the state and desantis for implementing it.

I also hope there are so many false positives that it never manages to catch a trans person.

Mark my words, this is ultimately going to lead to laws that do away with gender-segregated restrooms altogether, and a generation later we'll wonder why we ever had them in the first place.

Nothing does a better job of exposing how stupid a rule is than putting in effort to enforce it.

Wait, nobody else has criminal penalties in their bathroom bills?

Why can't Florida ever settle for just doing what other red states are doing?

Because SOMEONE has to be the head of the pack in the race to the bottom, and texas is too busy ensuring environmetal protections and workers rights are only footnotes in the history books... which americans won't be able to read cause they dictate education too.

House Republicans are convening a hearing on “The Dangers and Due Process Violations of ‘Gender-Affirming Care’ for Children” that will involve only anti-transgender activists and no doctors who work with transgender patients or medical experts who have relevant research backgrounds.

It's the modern Republican Party. The only way they know how to retain power is to sow fear and anger.(outside of rigging the system to ensure minority control, anyway)

Hopefully whatever token Democrats end up at the hearing evicerate the whole premise of said theater.

But Judge Sutton disagreed. In a similar decision allowing a gender-affirming care ban in Tennessee to take effect, Sutton reportedly wrote that the support for gender-affirming care by major medical organizations was “surely relevant” but “not dispositive.”
How are medical organizations' views not the only ones that are allowed to influence medical policy?
