They're running a Mountain Dew promo. Some really fun stuff! Gonna grab some bottles tomorrow if they're available.
Okay, waited through the scrollshow. Most of the rewards are physical, the only in-game stuff seems to be some metallic dye (green, orange, or blue, 200 points for five pots), a Mountain Zu mount, and a bottle of Dew that may or may not be in-game.

Click on "View Marketplace" and it'll list all prizes w/out having to wait (at least, on mobile it does).

The Mt. Dew bottle looks like it's in-game. Yep, a good chunk of items are physical. Stuff like the twins' figs are from claw machines in Japan. You can get some of it online w/out the promo, but the price would be about the same, if not more.

The bottles just have a small XBox banner on the label, it's easy to miss. We checked a few stores today, could only find the 100-point bottles. The code's really hard to read...

The dyes are the same ones already for sale on the Mog Station or from retainer ventures in-game, so there's not much reason to spend points on those.

People are reporting that the codes for in-game items are being sent via email, but they won't actually work until June 28, when Dawntrail early access begins. The physical items are coming from Pepsi Co, so those are available now. They may also be in limited supply, because of course they are.

Eep! A DQ crossover?Okay, this I need to be a part of!

Edit:
I'm beginning to think I should've been a miqo'te so I could wear headgear. But I still absolutely refuse to fantasia my viera.

I wasn't really impressed by the crossover last time around. I mean, I don't know the lore being referenced, which is gonna matter, but it basically felt pretty low-effort.

Most of them are more like brief advertisements, really. Yokai Watch gets a bigger event because the franchise owner is a personal friend of XIV's director, and the Nier Automata crossover took over a big chunk of content in Shadowbringers, but most of the time they get a quick quest line and maybe a Fate or a solo duty or two, just to say, hey, here's this other game you should go buy.

The Monster Hunter crossover is the only one that really feels organic in XIV's world. Rathalos could just be another of the endless variety of dragons, the hunt bill that starts the quest blends in with the Hunt system already present, and the palico is just another talking animal. (Fun fact, if you act surprised at a talking cat while playing a Miqo'te, he immediately calls you on it. Not sure if it works for Hrothgar since they didn't exist yet.)

Must've missed the announcement, but the Dragon Quest crossover is back again. Unfortunately, Viera and Hrothgar still can't use the headgear.
I got the minion. The headgear must've gone straight to my wardrobe because I didn't see it in my inventory. But since it's headgear and I'm Viera...*shrug*

The puff puff scene was great. Unfortunately I missed capturing it. I know some crossover stuff is makes it into the Unending Journey book. Hopefully this does too.

So, no more charge attacks, they're all just movement now.

Looks like high end duties were really turning into "burst damage" affairs, given how many of the notes talk about reducing attackspam. (Not technically alpha strikes in many cases, since a lot of the tricks require filling gauges first.)

All the talk about "streamlining combat" in terms of things like cooldowns suggest they don't like that groups will pause between spawns to let utility powers recharge.
