Seems to me that role would be better served by the legislature or courts, not the executive.

wonko the sane?

You may test that assumption at your convinience.

Agreed. It would be one of those justifications where people question it because the governor has only done it one other time since the rule was written.

But since when have tyrants ever cared for precedent. Like I said: desantis probably did not have the ability to do what he did, never mind repeatedly, but he was aided by a thoroughly corrupt state level.

While I don't like that the Governor has this ability to use on a whim, I will say that on a federal level we have seen the ineptitude of the legislature to impeach an obvious case for it.

I can't vouch for how good the curriculum was before. I went to Catholic schools, so all I got was the used sneakers skit.

It's no exaggeration. The policy really amounts to nothing less than detransitioning.

I miss when we were just the state that can't count votes.

Florida is going to get to the point that most people WON'T want to even travel there and once it loses its tourism revenue....

Who knows. There is so much money laundering going on down here that we don't know where our economy actually comes from.

I'm sure for some people, that's EXACTLY what they want. It wouldn't surprise me that a "Right Wing Tourism Industry" is on the cards in the imaginations of some individuals, complete with a far-right version of Disneyland to boot.

the particularly damning part is removal of the definition of CONSENT.
I actually went to High school in Florida in the 90s. Let me assure you that this can only be an improvement on what they taught then.
