WIP. I finally have enough pieces to at least begin to put some of this stuff together instead of just stalling.
I still want to do some establishing shots and background stuff, but that stuff is a whole project in itself.

I'm tired of leaving the majority of my output on the cutting room floor, so here's an earlier draft of what morphed into last week's post.
Obviously a lot changed between drafts.
This draft is the true beginning of the story, and visually more accurate, though incomplete. But the happy "GOOD NIGHT!" version is a better character introduction for young Night Cap, and better sets the tone of this comic.

true, the first one feels more characterful. this earlier version can still fit into canon however. just as a further recollection from somewhere later in the timeline.
