it's a children's cartoon from the 1980s meant to sell action figures fam, it ain't really remotely frightening

1980s Saturday morning cartoon villains could never do anything truly heinous or frightening due to U.S. television censors keeping a close watchful eye on everything going on in those shows at the time.

I was startled. My skin started to crawl. I was afraid (cued to 10:00):

I was creeped out. I was petrified.

I like Arcee, but I like these ladies better (cued to 0:40):

They’re so sexy, with lots of seasoning.

I like the female Autobots better than the male Autobots (cued to 16:35):

We should have gotten a payoff on the ending (cued to 20:30):

Why wasn’t there a comic series, spin-off cartoon and toy line devoted to these beauties, like there was for She-ra?

I can't wait until you get to Episode 8 of Season 3.

You are going to jive yourself.

I walked away at the beginning of Season 3 because there was no Optimus Prime and Megatron, so I lost interest in Transformers. I fell out of love with Transformers as many people did.

I hadn’t even seen the animated movie so I did not know where this Galvatron came from. He sort of reminded me of Megatron but I heard Megatron died in the movie.

It wasn’t until years later, and I was much older, that I saw Dark Awakening when Generation 2 re-aired it hosted by this blonde kid Tommy and Powermaster Optimus Prime. By then I was okay with it because I had heard about that episode being talked about years before.

The hosted episodes were 'season 5' of the original cartoon, not the Generation 2 one.

Why didn’t female G1 Transformers fans create the demand for Hasbro to make these toys?

And why didn’t Elita One unleash the power of the Matrix and become the next Autobot leader in the animated movie.

If Hasbro wants to attract female Transformers fans they need to make bold moves like the one Mattel did with She-ra in the 80’s.

I’d definitely be interested in a G1 Moonracer doll that I could take to bed with me and sleep with. They could make it with the same rubbery material used to make Barbies, with plenty of articulation. It does not need to transform. I wouldn’t use it to fight, just for companionship.

They keep f$%#king G1 Optimus Prime. Not only did they kill him in the animated movie, but they made him essentially into a mass murderer here (cued to 5:55):

And Grimlock, Perceptor, Springer and Aerialbot Skydive were not even happy or excited to see and have G1 Optimus Prime back. The only thing they cared about was what happened to the new Season 3 Transformers Rodimus Prime, Kup, Ultramagnus and Arcee.
