Hades II but no Zagreus?

Hades 2 is coming but... It's not Zagreus?! Who the hex is the new protagonist? The ending statement could be interpreted as being a child of Kronos too.

It doesn't seem to be in the Underworld anymore. And we saw Apollo and Nemesis.

What's happening?!?

(Also, I'm near the end of World of Final Fantasy since I'm at the Postscript. I want to get the good ending but it got tough!)

Nice. Still haven't beaten the first one, it kills my hands...
They mentioned killing Kronos, but the chained guy and the affection of the last line made it seem like Hades is the dad? She also had the same eye situation as Zagreus.

Hades (chained guy. See his beard?) is probably her dad. Folks have checked the actual mythology and figured her name to be Melinios or something.

Kronos is dead by that time but since he's a time God, who knows what's up?

I finished Hades with all the weapons except the bow and arrow. Just did not enjoy that one and never got good with it so when it was the last thing left my interest kinda drifted off.

Very fun game of a type I wasn't much into before Hades.

Ok, I got Hades 2 for Switch 2 but it still works on Switch 1.

I'm loving the story, despite missing Zagreus.

I don't want to look up info about stuff cuz I don't want to be spoiled but I'm probably missing some basic info.

Is there a database you can check at the base that tells you what run number you're on? I want to know how many I've taken and how far I've gotten each time.

Also, I can't get a handle on the... Moon thing. I'm suppose to use Magic until it's powered up? But when I think it's powered up, pressing ZR doesn't work.

I don't use the Cast button too. I haven't tried trapping enemies in it. I've just been using Attack and Special. I'm probably missing a lot of good fighting strategies cuz of it.

I stayed up two nights playing it, uuuugh, haha.

I use the Cast aka circle trap attack now. I kinda love how she hovers about slowly as she casts the spell.

I've meet Chronos on the... 29th time but haven't beaten him yet. It's hard to gauge the run number because of the OTHER thing. Really would like a counter.

Odysseus Ulysses is my fave Greek Roman hero but I'm thinking he should have a beard or be scruffier. Also, he's dead and so is his wife and he acknowledges that they've drifted apart soooo he's a romance option? Figured the developers would pick a younger dude, more on Melinoe's age range buuuuut I'll look up articles later.

My preference is Demeter's ice and, as usual, Hermes' speed. But am experimenting with Hestia and Apollo.

I'm very worried about Hypnos. What's happening to him?

I spent a third night not sleeping but I finished... half the game! Holy cow, I LOVED the atmosphere! It was terrifying! Did not expect to be scared like that but I was. It was an amazing feeling!

I afraid I would die and have to repeat but I built up enough defense boons that I luckily survived (it was a combination of my magic refilling and a boon that gives me armor everything I get health. I'm worried that I'll never get that build again but I need to beat the bosses for spell ingredients.

Romance options wise, one person is barred from me?!?! By plot?!? Boo!! But this is the modern, ancient era. Melinoe should have everything! New options came up and why can't Melinoe have it all? Hahaha

I beat Chronos! Took me until the 55th try. But the darn trials also get listed as a run. Same with the other thing.

There's still more to do with the story! Gotta beat Chronos maybe 10x more?

Well, I beat Chronos the extra number of times and got the credits. It was very moving actually. But the story isn't over and I want to know more but I'm fatigued from not sleeping, geez

Ok, I achieved the epilogue already so I'm basically done with the story.

Still have some quests to finish (haven't gotten all the weapons or beat the boss with the axe or coat yet) but I feel safe enough to look up a guide on getting tips and stuff.

But there's no gamefaq for Hades 2?!?! WTHestia?!?!?

Hades 2 is a game of the year. Why are there no faqs?! I checked Silksong (which I'm too scared to play) and it only has an incomplete faq.

What is going on?!?!? Is there a new game culture where they don't make faqs anymore? Is there some sort of new guide system for new games the 202X fandom has adopted. This is weeeeeird to me.

I missed out of some of the discussions on Hades 2 when it first came out, naturally since it was out in early access while I waited for a physical copy.

Is there a recommended discussion game site where I could see reactions to some parts?

Like, the hot springs? (I am so miffed that some characters can't be romance, gosh dang it)

Hypnos? (For real? That was the part i was most intrigued about and it was just like that?)

The supposed original ending (which I saw videos about but heard that people hated it).

Well, I didn't sleep again and sorta, unintentionally finished the Night's Champion challenge with the second part of 32 Fear Underworld. I was actually thinking of calling it a night when I finished the second challenge but, ugh, as usual, it was the lure of 'one more run'. (Ugh, I'm so weak! I'll mentally fortify in 2026!)

I had the Skull Hel aspect (the machine gun skull) with Zeus Blitz and actually lost Death Defiances beforehand. Figured it was a lost run. Plus I was just testing around since I've never run a very high Fear before. But then an NPC in refilled my Death Defiances in the third region! I thought I could win!

Then the third level boss just drained two of the Death Defiances, argh! He was normally pretty easy for me but he kept attacking backwards, argh.

Still had two Death Defiances (4th from the cat) when I met Chronos. I figured I had a slim chance of winning. But, geez, Blitz applied at machine gun pace really melted his health bar! I had the Hestia Zeus Duo boon too so I was applying Scorch with Blitz. With the Origination Tarot card (plus damage when using Curses from two different gods at the same time), I was able to win! It was heart pounding tho, haha.

Just had to share somewhere, haha

The only things I have to do left, IF I want to do them, are to complete the Stone challenges (about six left) and beat the Rivals Chronos and the other one. The Scroll of Fate no longer has anything for me to complete (since the last two on the Rivals challenge list is to just reach the final Rivals bosses, but don't have to beat them, whew)

Well, I'm done with Hades 2. I was going to lend it to a friend but I wanted to finish the Great 20 Fear random challenge. I did maybe 10+ before I gave up and used God Mode. Had 50% then 52% damage resistance before I did it. Which was annoying cuz I did the other Great 20 Fear random challenge on normal.

Did that. Then finished the Testament of Night. Would have been done but I saw an NPC story thing I wanted resolved. He wouldn't give me any gifts, the jerk. So I kept replaying until the storyline ended and he gave me gifts again.

Finally gave Hades 2 to a friend. Felt bittersweet to let go.

Ugh, now I have to play Pokémon Violet. Never played Pokémon before. I'm scared, haha
