I can appreciate where you are coming from, Zac. Re: the pros and cons of the more expensive figures, I think that I would opt for SS86 Magnus. I have Kingdom Magnus and the DNA upgrade kit, and it is pretty nice. However, SS86 Magnus is 100% what I really wish the Kingdom version could have been, and I have no regrets getting him. He is outstanding.

Motormaster is 100% what I wish the Combiner Wars version could have been, and is hands-down my favorite modern combiner. But because you don't have the rest of the group, and getting them would be cost-prohibitive, I wouldn't recommend shelling out for him. Just my opinion.

SS86 Magnus looks great if that's what you want in a Magnus.

If you like the inner robot, it is pure sadness.

Get Motormaster. You don't need all of the limbs to really enjoy the look of Menasor,
Coming from someone who has a complete Menasor... @The Predaking is correct. He would look pretty okay without the limb bots. The arms would make him look more accurate, but you can get by without any of them if you didn't have any.

Menasor is funny that way.

I'm still waiting for them to remold Motormaster into an Optimus Prime, since the trailer does form a nearly complete super mode.

Only if it's Machine Wars Optimus after having first been remolded into G1 Thunderclash.

SS Magnus is just night and day better than the Earthrise one in person. You wouldn't regret it at all. Motormaster is fine but honestly you're not going to get the best out of it without chasing down the other three Stunticons.

Exactly. Yes, you could buy Motormaster and, as others have suggested, simply form his combiner mode without the limbs. But I don't see much that would be fun or engaging about doing that, and he would look kinda weird. Magnus is pure love. Yes, he does not have the smaller, inner robot, but it just doesn't matter, because they nailed his primary super robot mode so well.

I honestly dont even count the "inner robot" as a scaled down version when it comes to the G1 version. It was cool to see in back in the Dreamwave, but outside of that I like the cab just combing with the trailer. Now, as far as play factor goes, not having the inner robot could be seen as a con to the toy and options of what you could do with it.
