hopefully a reputable and established company like Apple or Google.
Are you aware that the tech companies are laying off thousands of people right now?
My parents told me, their friends, and relatives that I had a bad brain when I was growing up. I think they did that to save them the embarrassment of having it pointed out to them by others when we had visitors over or if we went to other people’s homes. It hurt me and has stayed with me all my life. I don’t know what to do with that information, how to process it, especially when I know that it’s true. And if that’s the case, what’s the point in my even trying then? I’ll just fail.
Why do people just accept that a family member is dying just because a doctor says they are? Where there’s life, there’s hope. Why do people just give up? Why aren’t they fighting to stay alive till the very end? Can’t they just pump the person with steroids to keep them alive? Aren’t there always things that you can do? Steven Hawking was able to stay alive for decades in pretty much a state of dying. I heard we now have the technology to keep the head alive separated from the body. Who is anyone to tell you that you or your family member is dying? They are not God. How is ending someone’s life merciful when the alternative is death? Isn’t death worse than any pain?
The Christian bible, if you boil it down to its essentials, amounts to nothing more than Jesus saying:
The Old Testament, in Christian theology, was a combination of rules for surviving as a nomadic desert tribe, morality plays, and teaser trailers for Christ. The New Testament was Jesus's life, basically repeating the above message many times in many ways. Unfortunately IMO a lot of people get hung up on the words, or try to apply things from the OT that are no longer relevant(as Jesus himself IIRC said so himself), all in pursuit of pushing their own biases and agendas. If you want to live life by the bible, the above message is the biggest thing to take away from it, and don't get tangled in the specifics.
Of course the Jewish version is just the OT, and athe Quran has their own interpretations, hence my specifying "Christian bible" above.
