For some reason I never had any desire to watch that show. I felt the characters were trying too hard to be funny, telegraphing their performances. I know I’m definitely in the minority here, but though it was more popular it did not win that many awards.

Cheers is another show that was vastly popular with fans but was not as critically acclaimed as say it’s spin-off show Frasier.
