So when did Best Buy stop doing shipping for arrival on release day? I took vacation for the next two days to enjoy EoW. Just looked at my tracking info, and discovered my pre-ordered copy won't arrive until Saturday! 🤬

You're not the only one. Several other people on other sites are reporting the same thing.

That's why I never preorder games online. I don't really mind things like toys because I can wait for those. But video games where I know I'm going to want to play them day one the moment I get home from work, I either preorder from GameStop or digitally. I never trust Amazon to deliver something day one.

I do hope you enjoy it once you get it. It's really good.

I didn’t pre-order so after work yesterday I went to hit up Walmart and they were sold out already. Thankfully Fred Meyer still had a full case.

The game has been a delight so far. Past the first dungeon already and just exploring Hyrule for now. Saw a beginning game tip on how to pretty much get everywhere you want on the overworld using just a few early game echos.

I preordered digitally and then, having forgotten I preordered digitally, preordered it at GameStop.

too old for this

Not a damn store in my area has it in stock.
Kinda pissed. Had a 12 hour shift babysitting at an old folks home for firewatch. Could have had a lovely time.

Look, I know none of you are going to believe this, but I have to say this and I hope you can keep an open mind, okay? Okay...here goes. I just played the water temple and...it was fun.

I know, I know it's hard to believe. Heck, I was there and I have trouble believing it. But honestly, this water temple was actually fun.

I hit the Gerudo Desert first, just made my way to the water dungeon in the big rift. I didn't have enough money to get the flippers to improve my swim speed, but I do have a smoothie is needed. I'm probably saving Link mode too much, but I like summoning monsters and letting them do my dirty work.

I did Gerudo first too. Using monsters is fun...unless they just stand there. That's frustrating.

And done. That was five days. So, kinda short. Kinda easy too compared to other Zelda games. Still fun though. The only real complaint I would have with it is when you get a lot of echo and your scrolling through them all on a BotW/TotK time item menu. Still a lot of fun though.

I've been using ZR to target things for my minions. I'm done with the first part, now exploring the Wetlands.
Last night I had a heck of a time trying to swim up the flow of water, managed to bind/follow a shark to get out but couldn't get the Might shard on the right. Today I stubborned at it more before having a light bulb moment.

Can't believe I didn't think of that before.

Caldwin: but did you get all the hidden chests, do all the sidequests and collectibles?

I have all the echoes. There's still some collecting I could probably still do.

I did go back post game to get missing echoes. Finding an online checklist can really help.

I ended up going out Friday morning, buying a second copy, and then returning my original copy after it arrived. Which, considering it didn't arrive until TUESDAY, I think ended up being a good decision. I would have been so upset if I'd been waiting the whole weekend before getting it in hand!

Anyway, I also finished the game Tuesday. Not perfect of course, but overall I loved it! Definitely have a lot of questions on the lore side of things that I'm not ready to dig into yet. I'm still not crazy for the graphical style any more than I was for Link's Awakening, but I do think it works a bit better here. And I really enjoyed a lot of what they did on the gameplay and story side of things.

As of watching the credits roll for the first time without having looked up anything, I missed 2 echoes, 2 stamps, 1 outfit, 1 accessory, and 14 might crystals. Had everything else, including all hearts, side quests, and possible smoothie ingredient combos registered. I've since completed the rest. :D

Wow! That moment when you try to start up Tears of the Kingdom again after playing Echoes of Wisdom almost exclusively since launch. Muscle memory can suck sometimes.
