I'm just going to roll a D6. Even, Hazy takes in all in stride and lets Scarlet do the talking. Odd, she loses her jive.

Roll(1d6)+0:
2,+0
Total:2

I'm honestly disappointed.

Hazy stays quiet and lets Scarlet handle this. Though inwardly, she's not sure if she's amused or revolted at being mistaken for Scarlets wife.

After taking a moment to compose himself after the strange conversation with the nun, Kai gives a grunt and goes back to just walking the grounds, though after a few minutes he decides it's best to find a place to nap. Most likely they will be hitting the bank that night, or in the early morning, so he should be ready to go. He finds himself a quiet corner, puts in his earbuds with some choice music on, and then stretches out, resting his head on his crossed forelegs to get some shut eye.

For a second, Scarlet completely fails to register the words.

Then he does.

Then he does a doubletake and gets caught halfway between a shocked gasp and laughter. Trying to control his slightly mad chuckling, Scarlets hat falls off. Diving to catch it allows him the few seconds to get his body inder control.

Clearing his throat, Scarlet attempted to say calmly.

”We’re, ah. ‘Cough’ not married. We’re close friends but nothing more ‘cough’.” He almost lost it ahain as he noticed Hazy Not Reacting to all this. ”I bumped to Hazy on the way here and she decided to tag along,” he smirked. “Anyway, i run a rare artifacts and curiosities shop. A Spectrum of Curiosity.” He said this, even though he new the receptionist likely would not have heard if it. “Old world finds, full of magic and mystery and history, you know? This deposit box will be for documentation, special items and anything i’d rather keep safer than at the shop.

Really, we’re just friends. Just mates.”

inwardly, much like Hazy, Scarlet wasn’t sure quite how he felt about this little bit of confusion.

Tipple sat on their bed in the hotel, limbs tucked under their body, next to an open pizza box. The demolished pizza drew less of their attention than the inside of the lid, folded flat in front of them, where they'd reproduced the simple diagram of the bank and covered it with speculative notes and annotations full of question marks and occasional frowning faces. They craned their neck out over the drawing, squinting over it here and there, then rolled their eyes, annoyed at the futility of their own guessing. "Whatcha think, Striker? D'ya think the cap'n and Haze're pulling it off?" Tipple said, addressing a large, mechanical hound curled next to the bed, its body mostly plates of orange plastic composite. Striker simply looked up at them with its featureless face and rocked its head to one side. "Mmmh," Tipple sighed, reaching out for another slice of pizza.

Hazy's first instinct at seeing Scarlet uncomfortable was, of course, to make it worse. "Nothing more? What would the children think?" "Just friends? That's not what you said last night."

But the truth was, even the thought of saying those things squicked her out just as much as it probably would him. Besides, she was still too irritated by this "Archer" bloke to make light of anything at the moment.

"Don't get flustered too much, Junior," she said, hoping the "junior" bit would irritate him enough that it would balance out being flustered about the whole relationship thing. "It's unprofessional." She turned her attention to the bank owner. "Yeah, we just happen to meet as he was coming here. We are not...not....a couple. I'm just here for moral support."

The Teller blinked as he watched and listened to the pair. "Oh I see, so you are Not, not a couple then?" He says giving a wink, as clearly they are keeping it on the downlow. He looks back to Scarlet. "Of course, I can easily set you up with one after you sign a few documents for me." He says and passes a tablet your way.

Hazy scrunched up her muzzle and contemplated (not for the first time) how much she cared about that no destruction no fatalities bonus. Still, this was Scarlets show. She stood back and let him do the talking while she looked "idly" around at the security and planned out her viruses"

Grumbling under his breath as the teller completely misreads Hazys words. This situation couldn’t get more awkward if it—!

“Oh for bucks—!” Even if his words were a whisper and nust a quickly cut off, his exasperated expression was clear, as the teller s tablet displayed a Couples form. though, with a little bit of fiddling, Scarlet got it sorted to a Business bix form and started filling in his info for A Spectrum of Curiosities. He was half-tempted to just roll with it and just fake it for the sake of appearances. Except for one thing: He was terrible liar when it came to outright lies. Mostly. Another trait he‘d picked up from dear old grandad. Half-truths, or simply not telling the whole truth, he could fake it better than anyone. Plus, he didn’t think either of them deserv4d the headache such an act would bring them.

So he quickly filled in the firm, made sure Hazy could see it and then handed it back the teller.

”Sorry to be a bother,’ he said conversationally.

Hazy glanced at the papers with feigned interest. "Great to see," Hazy congratulate as if Scarlet were embarking on a big business decision. "Your father would have been proud," she added, hoping her tone made it more obvious they were friends and not in a relationshi.

Moonbeam's dreams were restless. Dark, deep, troubled. They always had been, in one way or another. She kicked her legs at the blankets and fluttered her wings, biting her pillow while her ears twisted this way and that.

In her mind, the girl was there again. Watching the door get busted open from where she sat by the ragged cot she and her sister shared. She watched as Neon spent her last few moments of freedom hitting the panic button. A hatch opening under her bed and the elder batpony sister's artificial magic quickly tossing the girl in before the guards subdued her. She could still hear the grunts of defiance. The thud of batons and the agitation of the guards as they tried to subdue the fugitive.

It was all happening again in that dream. Even her shameful little whispered prayer to Luna. A stupid thing. Something the young girl knew wouldn't be answered. The Lady of the Night wished for them to be their own power. To ascend through the technology and skill gifted them by those who came before. But she was small, she was weak. She was scared.

Moonbeam felt the eyes of her goddess on her. Disapproving. Disgusted. Hateful for the weakness of a girl who couldn't save her sister. A girl who had to beg and borrow just to be gifted the first sacraments of metal and polymer on her body. Who had to stoop to cavorting with heathens and even take medicine offered by them because she wasn't strong enough to accept the gifts on her own.

"I'm sorry"

She wept the words without bravado. Everything else beaten out of her. She pleaded for forgiveness in her dark dreams. From her sister. From Luna. From anyone. Even as the blades cut into her flesh. Even as imagined memories of a surgery she couldn't possibly have felt filled her head once more. Raw unbridled agony for an ascention she was unworthy to take. Pain, and shame, and the fear that everyone she'd failed would turn their back on her in turn. All filled her mind as her body slowly stabized itself with the medicine she hated herself for taking.

The teller nods as he looks over all the papers and files them away as he opens your account. "Alright, Everything seems to be in order. And you two are certainly not a bother." He grins. "You're a rather cute couple." He says and then looks to Scarlet. "Was there anything you were wanting to deposite at the moment?"

Hazy's ear flicks. An observant pony my even notice the slightest of eye twitches.

[First I get the no-fatality/arson bonus for this gig. Then your brother mysteriously disappears. Then I rase this bank to the ground. I'm going to ruin your entire life you *bleep*ing piece of *bleep*]

Hazy puts on a strained smile and her teeth grind at she says out loud, "totally not a couple!"

Scarlet just sighed and shook his head. The Teller was clearly a nice pony. Or at least trying to Act nice, since they’re on the front desk all day. But they were really misreading things. One sidelong glace made him inwardly twitch. It did pop into his head for the briefest of brief moments that, had he and Hazy not spent so much time together as pseudo family… she might actually have been his type. Though he was very careful to keep that thought very, very small. Anyway, he smiled at the Teller.

”Such a thing is purely fictional,” he said. However, what he thought was.

I know what you’re thinking sis. And No. No razing, no disappearances. We’re the professionals here sweetie.

In answer to the Tellers question, Scarlets brain lit up.

”As a matter of facy i do. Some paperwork and such. Where do i go to access my box then?”

Scarlet chuckled.

”Such capacity is more fictional than we are.”

Ah, yeah i forgot you can tell. Sorry not-sweetie.

Greenback, the teller, nods. "Of course, I'll escort the pair of you back to the vault." He says and slips around the front of the desk and leads Scarlet and Hazy through the back doors into a long hallway, to the direct right they can see Pence Sterling's Office and right across from them is another set of doors that leads into a secodary hallway with guardpony in front of it. Greenback show the guard his Bank Id and is let through the doors and at the end of this smaller hallway is the actual vault. He makes his way over and imputs a code into a keypad and the large door opens to reveal the vault, a very sterile looking, mostly empty, steel room filled mostly with three walls lined with drawers of various shapes and sizes; and inside one of them is Archer Sterling's stash.

Greenback heads to one of the smaller drawers on the left wall, and uses his tablet device to scan and unlock it. "Once you download our App, you'll be able to access your code and open yourself in the future." He says pulling the lockbox out of the drawer and setting it down on one of the few tables in the room.

Hazy took the sceen in as Greenback led them to the vault. Of particular interest she tried to, as discretely as possible, see the code that he punched into the keypad.

Wizards seems to have completely revamped their website. So I guess goodbye to the D&D roller. If someone has another site to use, I'll use it. Mean time, I hope it's okay to use normal dice. I'm guessing Perception is called for. I have a 5 in mind and a zero in perception. So I guess 5D6

Two successes. *mutter mutter*

Once they are in the vault, Hazy tries to look as disinterested as possible while still keeping a keen ear open on the conversation between the two.

“Modern technology can afford some useful conveniences doesn’t it,” Scarlet said as he nodded along to Greenback. “The app sounds very useful. But aren’t you wary of allowing your customers access like that?”

While he spoke, Scarlet was also keeping an eye and an ear out for anything.

Perception check for the vault code, cameras, anything.

Roll 5d6.
1d6=6
1d6=1
1d6=3
1d6=1
1d6=4

Aw. Only two successes dangit!

Pulling off and opening one of his bags, Scarlet started divesting himself of some of his current financial documents for the store (copies of course(, a few of his most recent finds and suchlike. Nothing majorly important, but the beginnings of the kind of thing a businesspony like him might leave. He also made a mental note to hope that he could still use this after all was said and done. It may only be a cover, but he wouldn’t mind keeping some important things lut of the part of town he had to live in. Looking to Hazy, he said conversationally.

”Anything you want to drop in for now?”

Hazy waited to make viruses until she'd seen what she would need to write them for. She had no heist related gear to put in the box, though in retrospect, an EMP device to disable the safe security might have been useful to have on the inside. But as it was, Hazy wasn't sure what Scarlet expected her to have. So she just shrugged. "It's your business, choom. I'm just here for emotional support."

Nodding, Scarlet made a last check through what he’d put in the box. Looked through his bags to make there wasn’t anything else. Then made a mental note of where his box was going to be in the vault And took out his phone to download the app Green ack had mentioned.

”Fair enough,” he said with a shrug. “I think that about covers everything for now.”
