I like painted windows, but in this case it was clearly a mistake.
The windows would have been the same gold color as the rest of the translucent plastic had they been left unpainted.

Well, it looks like it has the exact same paint ops as the other version with the gray plastic, but the light blue windows are pretty jarring on the translucent version. I think it would look better with a darker metallic blue or even black for windows.

The thing that surprises me is, we've gotten three releases of this mold, and not one with an alternate Bumper/Bumblejumper head. Surely it was designed with that use in mind?

Transformers 40th Anniversary Tokyo Expo

Transformers 40th anniversary! The 40th Anniversary Transformers Expo 2024, an exhibition that looks back on the history of Transformers loved by fans all over the world, will be held!
73415-396-abf52745a4f71be40479ddf30fe70622-2520x1187.jpg

To commemorate the 40th anniversary of Transformers, an exhibition will be held at Warehouse Terada G1 Building from September 13, 2024 (Friday) to September 29, 2024 (Sunday) to look back at the 40-year history of Transformers with toys, videos, and materials. “40th Anniversary Transformers Expo 2024” will be held.

The transforming robot character “Transformers” series, a content “originated in Japanese toys” created by Takara Tomy Co., Ltd., will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2024.

The 40-year partnership between Takara Tomy and the US company HASBRO has produced rare characters and numerous products that are loved by fans around the world, and in 1984 they introduced "Convoy", which transforms from a vehicle into a robot. Since its release (in Japan since 1985), "Transformers" has evolved into a global brand. Fans around the world have loved the epic story of a super robot life form that can transform at will, the activities of unique characters, and the numerous products.

In 2024, which marks the 40th anniversary since its birth, we will hold an exhibition to cherish the "TRANSFORMERS YOUR ORIGIN'' that has become the starting point for each fan, and transform it into "OUR ORIGIN" that unites all generations.

■Highlights of the exhibition

This exhibition, held to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Transformers, is based on the research facility of the secret organization "Sector 7" that appeared in the Hollywood movie version. Introducing past works such as anime and movies, displaying valuable toy production materials, and three-dimensional objects such as toys, dioramas, and statues from past series, as well as Optimus, including Megatron frozen in ice created for this event. With a life-size bust of Prime, a full-size matrix, and more, you can experience the world of "Transformers" for yourself.

Furthermore, in the Beast Wars corner, you can fully enjoy Transformers, including an area that recreates "Voice Actor Outlaw Zone" using the voices of the cast, a special corner for the latest movie "Transformers ONE" to be released on September 20th, and collaboration items. This exhibition is truly suitable for the 40th anniversary.

The merchandise corner will sell toys such as Optimus Prime in limited edition colors, as well as goods created especially for this exhibition.

Pre-orders for tickets can be bought here between July and August (see dates above). There are two types of tickets (weekend and weekday) and they're for September. We have to specify the time if day on the tickets, if they are for a weekend or weekday AND/OR the size of the t-shirt we want (weekday is the dual symbol design and weekend is the "Our Origin" design with the Lio Convoy, Optimus, etc on it). Tickets are not transferable between days (and possibly times?) At time of writing, regular tickets (without a t-shirt), MIGHT be for sale later, from the 13th of August).

It's called "Brave Commander Optimus Prime" and is equivalent to the Leader Sized Beast Awakening Optimus Primal from last year.

Here, they are using the Prime Changer as the foundation to "plus up" by adding the extra gimmicks and articulation. Already confirmed that Hasbro will be importing this as they did with the Optimus Primal last year.

It's a bit too expensive, IMO. In Japanese yen, it's the equivalent to around 90 USD for us here in Japan (comparatively, not via the exchange rate).

I don't think it's worth that much, so I'll wait for either a sale or a KO version.

Please let me know if this video is geoblocked for anyone outside Japan and I'll try to reupload it.

Basically, TT is doing a (in my opinion, "TLTL") repaint of their MP BB, with better paint (just like the KOs did, for much cheaper than the original, several years ago).

You can pre-order it here, I think.
