Joker Folie A Deux, madness of two

Saw it. It was, well, it was that.

Would have been nice if it was more standalone but they kept referring to his kills in the first movies, which I barely remember.

There's small surprises but not really for comic book fans. Just two namedrops.

No extra scene at the end.

It's artistic. Folks might like that.

Not a fun movie for rewatching but it is meant to be deep and all that.

I guess NOBODY is really going to see this. I know I’m holding out for a home release, between cost concerns (I’ve gone to the actual theater, like 3 times this year, with MAYBE a couple more before next year) and the weak word of mouth.
Even your comments, Fero, don’t paint a sterling example of a film to pay theatrical pricing for.

And I guess a LOT of people feel that way. After a relatively soft $37 million opening weekend, the film’s second round saw a whopping 81.3% drop off to a weekend haul of just $7 million. And it did so as the WIDEST release available last weekend at 4102 locations.
It is guaranteed, at this stage with even optimistic drop offs, of failing to crack $100 million at the domestic box office.

There was something I missed at the ending of the movie tho. Had to see it in a spoiler review. I saw the scene but it didn't register in my head that something was happening in the back

that the guy was cutting his face, probably into a smile

Nothing will probably come of it anymore but, well, it's something.

WB has announced that Joker 2 will be released on streaming platforms NEXT WEEK, October 29. After its third weekend, the film has continued to see some impressively precipitous drops, week to week. After the 80+% drop for its second weekend, last weekend saw a near 70% drop off to a measly $2 million return. It will be surprising if Joker 2 stays past the 5 week mark. With those declines, it is unlikely the film will break $60 million domestically.

With a reported budget in the neighborhood of $190 million, Joker 2 is joining the likes of Borderlands and Argyle as one of the biggest bombs of the year.

Another weekend, another 70% drop off!
It’s actually rather fascinating to see a film, a sequel to a massive hit, fizzle out so fast and so hard. At this rate, the disappointing Transformers One will out gross it by a million or so.

I heard that it didn't do so well and that those who saw it said the film was lesser then the first? I wasn't too invested in the first film though either.

Basically this film seems to intentionally jive on everything the majority of people loved about the first one. On top of being a musical that all promotional material did their damnedest to try and hide.

Eh, that doesn't seem too bad.

I mean, what's 70% of 0?
