Trip got pregnant though and they didn't make fun of his condition that much. When he acted a little hysterical on the elevator and was being picky with his food, there was little reaction from those around him.

Malcolm Reed could have been gay? Hmm. He kept to himself a lot so could have been keeping secrets. I liked that nobody knew that his favorite food was pineapples. His best friend said he probably hated fish, though paired it with Malcolm just being in the fish restaurant cuz he had a crush on a waitress.

Yea, Rick Berman constantly threw wrenches into overt depictions of queerness. He's the primary reason that Garak eventually ended up with a female love interest, after all. Ira Steven Behr and Andrew Robinson both wanted Garak to be gay.

ShowZ had a Trans/LGBQT+ related Transformers product up but I'm going to put this behind a spoiler as it didn't end as well as I had hoped...

Nice little TF badge is coming out at ShowZ.

...Aaand after I emailed the site to complain about anti-LGBQT+ comments and downvoted positive comments, the product was quickly removed...

(One of the comments there demanded the product be removed)

ShowZ then sent me another reply after I asked them for an update

I replied and told them they I was disappointed in their decision (as it could be seen as pandering to the whims of right-wing trolls) and told them I might be buying less of their products in the future.

Regardless, here's a cool t-shirt that I think we can order.

Anybody watching X-Men 97 here?

Is it just me but are they sorta making Morph a bit too lecherous? He's pals with Wolverine but is his innuendo going a bit too far?

Are people reading anything into the second ep when Logan was moping and Morph turns into Sabertooth to get him to tussle with him?

If you folks watch Ghostbusters Frozen Empire, could I get your thoughts on Phoebe and her relationship? I'm getting vibes of what I think they're trying to pull but maaaybe it's just me?

Also Podcast got a such a glow up! He totally long bottomed! I couldn't take my eyes off him because he was the spitting image of Glitch from Dance Central 2 and 3!

I read Sandman and the Children's Crusade crossover with all the annuals but I've never read the Dead Boy Detective miniserieses.

Am five eps into the show and everyone is gay for Edwin, hehe. The witch didn't even try for a female to vamp him. But Edwin is underage. And dead.

And since when was he the brains and Charles was the brawn?

I'm liking the cases because it reminds me of Pushing Daisies. Not super magic realism but there's some camp to the world, like the dandelions. Also same premise of dead people asking for cases to be solved.

I picked up on it too and I appreciate the subtlety of it... it's there if you want it to be but could also just be a good friendship. In fact I feel it was really well done considering how heavy handed the rest of the movie's emotional arcs were played ("AM I YOUR FRIEND OR YOUR FATHER??")

Loved Dead Boy Detectives, ate it up in 2 nights! I will need to track down the comics at some point.
I think the underage thing is a nonissue because of how long they've actually been around - Edwin spent 70 years in hell, Charles died in the '80s. Plus the actors don't *look* like boys. Maybe that's why they kept making the "that's a dumb name" joke, the whole "Boys" part of the title doesn't really work with the live action. And when the bureaucracy made such a big deal about them being minors it really fell flat. Like ok, sure they are.
I immediately had to follow Charles/Jayden Revri's IG. His look and some of his expressions remind me of a few people I know. I definitely have a type ha!
I also thought (I guess spoiler): I thought Edwin's repressed sexuality might be because of his time in hell... like he was thinking he got sent to hell because he's gay? So he was going to try to hide it/deny it. But that was never indicated.

I've been meaning to share these pics since... well, last August!
Last summer Provincetown's Carnival Theme was LAND OF TOYS. As soon as I heard that was the theme (announced at the 2022 Carnival) I knew I'd have to be there no matter what! I was hoping to put together a Transformers cosplay for it, but ended up not having the time or money to devote to it.
It was a great time, Provincetown always it, but seeing all the businesses and a lot of the people decked out in queer toy theme decor and costumes was delectable icing on the cake!
I figured I'd share the pics that might be of interest to a TF board!

I bought this poster (I still need to frame it and hang it up!)

I passed this place the first day, when it was pristine, with plans to take pics of it (and everything else) later in the week. Of course we ended up having a day or 2 of rain and high winds...

Pinktimus Prime!

Well, more Glitter Prime? Supercool either way, hehe

Btw, I was flabbergasted on the news a day or so ago that Supernatural actors DJ Squalls and Ty Olsson are engaged?!?! I didn't even know Ty was gay or bi! He was married twice.

I always taught Benny the vampire had wasted potential. He was around but didn't do anything and, what, wanted to go back to Hell cuz there was nothing on earth for him? Then they killed him off screen saying he was a pathetic excuse for a vampire, boo!

I thought Ty was conventionally attractive in a rough way. Still boggles me that he's getting married to DJ.

So I came out to my grandpa yesterday as trans.

It was one of the hardest things I've ever done, both because of what I was doing and the context I had to do it in.

My grandpa's been in the hospital since the 12th and he's been in hospice since Wednesday.

He wasn't even awake when I told him, I don't know if he could even hear what I was saying but I still told him. It was a struggle for me to even say it but I managed it.

I wish I could have told him earlier, I was planning on telling him on the very same day he was admitted to the hospital but his hospitalization put the kibosh on that and then later I wanted to tell him when he was in the CCU and awake and aware enough for me to still converse with him, but I never got the chance to either because there were too many nurses and doctors around for me to have privacy.

Instead I had to tell him at the point where I don't know if he'll ever be awake enough for me to converse with him again, but I still did it.

I wanted to talk a pic about some media I've consumed with LGBT positive themes.

Astro Note: Cute romcom anime with an alien hiding on Earth. There's some nice character development with the supporting chars, with one of them being non-binary/possibly trans. It's a side story and doesn't go too in depth, but still a nice surprise.
The MC lives in a sharehouse where the alien Mira is the landlady. Some of the residents are a dad and his young son Ren. Ren seems to have a crush on a feminine classmate, but later we find that he just wants to dress like her. His dad is afraid of what society would think, but allows Ren to wear the skirt indoors only.
During the last ep, Mira takes a stand and makes a speech about not having to accept the roles you're born into, and living your own life. Ren is inspired, repeats what Mira said to his dad, and decides to wear the skirt to school. We see pics of Ren being treated normally by his/her classmates, and is very happy

I Want to Be A Wall: Manga series about an asexual/aromantic woman who marries a gay man for the sake of appearances. Def a critique on Japanese society. Unfortunately it ends quite abruptly in vol 3. I wanted more.
It ends with them both content to support each other in their sexless/romanceless marriage.

I Think Our Son is Gay: Manga series about a mom dealing with her teenage son who is gay, but is afraid to admit it. Bittersweet and very cute. The mangaka is also gay.
Most of the issue is with the dad, who is often away working, and frequently makes bad comments. The mom learns about gay culture in Japan and chips away at her husband's (and sometimes her own) prejudice/ignorance. Later on, we find out that the younger son is likely asexual. Sadly, the series ends before either son comes out, but both parents declare their love to their children no matter what.

wonko the sane?

You may test that assumption at your convinience.

Alrighty, so today I decided to do some cleaning, and change my displays. Mostly decluttering a touch, and creating new thema.

I wound up with two small shelves left open, so I decided I was going to put the fembots back. I like how much (comparative.) attention they've been getting in the last few years, and the fact that hasbro is willing to not only create new characters, but redefine old ones. Anywho...

I had made two piles of toys, sorting them so they got their weapons and such, and wound up with two glowing energy sword left over. Break out the instructions, and figure out whom they belong to. Turns out they were property of thrilling thirty arcee.

My immediate thought was: "oh yeah, I forgot how much of a gun slut she was" because the story beats at the time were for psycho warrior arcee and the figure came with two swords AND two pistols... followed by "she lived in a warzone for a million years, why am I judging?"

So I'm still trying to be a better person, not quite getting it, but trying.

Am in s4 of Star Trek Prodigy and, gosh dang, mirrorverse evil Chakotay with goatee and sleeveless shirt is nasty! They already slimmed down regular Chakotay for the show but mirrorverse Chakotay (and 'pretending to be evil' regular Chakotay) are hot stuff, haha

Recently binged Kaos, a live action series on Netfilx. A modern take on Greek Gods, with plenty of twists and LGBT+ representation. Season 1 ends on a cliffhanger, and no word on a season 2. 😭
