Spider-Man- Not enough of an expert to tell if there is any tooling change besides the decision to exclude a webshooter hand. Dig the darker blue, though. The armor is really interesting, if nothing more than seemingly offering some “story element” to the proceedings. The tendrils are a nice accessory, but the “talking head” is a REALLY fascinating decision. Before the film, the comics never had that element to the character (that I know of), so to see Hasbro incorporate that into the toyline is really interesting to me.

It's not the comics, but there was this some time ago...

Venomsaurus Rex, $30-35. A repaint and remold of the Spidersaurus Rex. You can use its flexible tongue to wrap around bad guys. Nifty.

Hey, hope you don't mind, but I wanted to read the post, but I went in and broke it up a little to make it a little easier to digest, if you will. Hope you don't mind, and if you do, I can fix it. It's just past 3:30 here, and a lot of it kind of ran together visually, making it harder for my strangely-tired (long story) self to follow.

Didn't alter any text, though. Just wanted to more easily read what you were saying.

That’s fine. I posted it at a late time yesterday/day before, so a lot of it was just “brain streaming” of information.

Eh, it really DOES look to me like the venom head on the deluxe Spidey is designed to “interact” with Spider-Man or that the symbiote was “begrudgenly” working with Spider-Man. It’s on a ball joint, it seems, so we’ll have to see what the range on the joint is.

Here’s a link to Venomsaurus Rex. Design is skewing more modern…but the toy DOES have a spiny Mohawk and a stretchable tongue so…toy wins, I think?
