Imagine telling yourself the grapes are probably sour instead of finding a ladder.
I don’t like the shoulders either but I’d just pass on the thing and move on. Making the treads move with the shoulders means replacing pretty much the entire upper body and messing with a lot of pins.

Who at Hasbro thinks that the slackjawed retool heads are a draw?
I don't know, but I do know it makes me wish the economy was better so I could get back to making my own repaints with them. or hell if the economy was even better than that, Hasbro could just be doing the repaints themselves
These guys designed a few small gap fillers and covers for the vehicle mode back end but missed the mark completely on the gun. To be accurate, they could have had gap fillers for the gun so that the arm-mounted mode isn't so hollow, or a completely new gun. Missed opportunity to have a folding bumper as well. They sell this to be used with a $30 figure for $40. Jeez.
At least they're selling the admittedly cool poleaex on its own in a bunch of colors but I get the feeling it'll be pricey as well.
Edit: Huh, $15. That's decent. Will grab the orange one. Maybe the purple.

The axe is cool, but the rest is stuff I wouldn't care about even if I had any interest in the figure.
If they consider the axe worth $15 and the first run of the upgrade kit comes with one, that makes the $40 price tag a little less crazy. This does include pieces that need to get out of the way of the transformation without being removed, so they did put some genuine work into this.
i still might eventuallyy grab their kid for black zarak, but yeah I've got no interest in these designs anymore. now if they'd have re done bruticus and not made it dumb I might have grabbed one... but I don't need another wwe roids prime
Maybe if they'd done the FoC Dinobots, but then again, they haven't finished the SS86 set yet.
Although if they wanted to do an SS Titan, Bruticus wouldn't be a bad choice. Although, if all video games are now fair game, I'd go for Tidal Wave from the PS2 Armada game.

I've bought my fair share of DNA things and enjoyed them, but god I wish they'd label where the new stuff is for their side-by-sides when it's like 80% pedantic gap-filler nonsense, don't make it into a tedious game of spot the difference.
Good upgrades should be hard to spot.
Honestly I feel if it's hard to spot the difference, then that just makes buying upgrade kits pointless.
Why waste the money if it doesn't really look any different after you add the new upgrade pieces?

It's not for everyone. It's for that guy who sank hundreds of hours into Fall of Cybertron and is disappointed that this toy isn't perfect.
I actually like the WFC/FOC designs if they’d just fix their width sliders. The Deluxe Prime had less chunky proportions but it works so much better.
Who needs upgrades? You can shine no matter what you're made of!
This. When you're trying to show off the thing to try and get people to spend the money on it, it's not a good look for your $30+ upgrade if you have to goddamn Where's Waldo the majority of the parts. For me though, if I'm buying these things, I'm generally buying them for something that's not these gap-fillers, and I may just be cranky that four of the pieces of the Scourge kit were for basically nothing.
Wasn’t like half of that kit stuff to ape the old 3rd party G2 Optimus trailer and basically useless otherwise?
