[OOC] STOMP Remembrance Project

You know, I'm so used to Static being a straight up brawler that I completely forgot about this one time where he actually used dec to get out on top. And now that I said that, it seems like it should be weird to say that because the whole reason I went for that illusion skill in the first place was so I could make him a trickster...which never really played out much except for that first night in the museum.

Player: This is my character. Here's my writeup on his life and motivations. This is how I'm going to play him and these are the skills I'm giving him to make sure he gets played that way.

Character (takes the players sheet): Yoink! It's my life now! I'm in control. I'll tell you how to play me.

It's mildly disappointing that this is probably the only campaign I'll be able to use "conspicuous light patch" as a descriptive term.

You put her in your epilogue. If you mean from me, I believe so. I knew I could handle only so many NPCs at once, so I put her on a bus but gave her a return ticket.

It's a shame nothing ever really came from the submarine Static was making. It would've been cool for the STOMP team to see Anchors' home.

Scarlet - Night Cap (Shale - Keen)

Shale Antiquity put her harp away with a smoothly casual motion, as if pulling a curtain over it. She then lifted Launder with her magic and pulled him in for a comforting hug. "Are you okay? I know some are more perceptible to those tones than others." "I'm better now, thanks. This might be a little awkward but...can I have your autograph? I started listening to some of my mom's old records and they're really good." Shale Antiquity smiled, pulled out a quill, and signed the side of his shades.

Scarlet watched Shale with a slight smile on his face. This is what made such an impression on him. She is amazingly talented and wise, but never above simple acts of kindness and encouragement.

Then he sighed and, walked up to Night Cap, nudged him with a wing. Speaking softly he said.

"Night, you are a unique talent i'm sure. But like me, you are not on the same level as Shale Antiquity. Your time may come, just not today.

Night Cap's posts are missing but you can often infer what he said anyway.

We've arrived at the falling ceiling puzzle.

Hey, sometimes you gotta stick with the classics. Did people comment about the falling ceiling in the OOC?

Scarlet - Night Cap (Shale - Keen)

After departing, Scarlet Spectrum's group continued onward down the corridor. Upon making a sharp turn, they spotted a massive room. In the center was a single lilac treasure chest setting on a stone pedestal with a light shining down on it. "Obviously, this is some sort of trap."

Scarlet - Night Cap (Shale - Keen)

"Well, if Scarlet tethers you, any of us can probably pull you out. Though I don't know if the rope will be long enough." Keen Craft said as she looked around the room.

His post is lost forever, again, but obviously Night Cap immediately volunteered to grab the forbidden treasure chest.

It's nice to see his negative qualities have their own useful side. Someone needed to be willing to grab the chest despite the obvious risk.

However, upon searching the area they found a hidden passage. Climbing the multitude of stairs, they soon exited from behind what seemed like a curtain. Gaining their bearings, they realized that this was the original tapestry room.
I believe this was meant to be a reference to Legends of the Hidden Temple. There was a specific hidden passage in the temple run that wasn't exactly like this but had vague similarities.

It's interesting that we come to the part of Night Cap needing proof of his deeds when the text of what he said is lost.

Do pay attention to Shadewing's constant quoting. There's been a few times when it preserved GM edits I otherwise wouldn't have.

"Maple, Melon's the only one who hasn't been updated so please go see if he's in his office. The rest of you take a fifteen to rest up and grab a bite to eat. You know where to meet up and I'll allow you to bring your food back this one time. Rhapsody, could you show Moonshadow where the cafeteria is? Likewise, Static, could you escort Square, Keen, and Night Cap to the cafeteria?"

Spoiler

Night Cap knows where the cafeteria is. He just requires supervision, apparently.
