Personal Insults

Was skimming the rules but didn't see anything that addressed this (sorry if I just missed it somewhere.) What are the rules on personal insults? I thought that was strictly regulated, but was that a bygone era of the forum back when it had warning ratings, etc? Because I see people doing it in P&R beyond just criticizing political views, someone bragging about doing it in private messages, at least one staff member joining in, and no one in staff trying to dial down the temperature.

Am I just going by outdated rules and being way too nice to people I disagree with in P&R?

I'd probably need some concrete examples. I got a report earlier of a generic comment about the behavior of "liberals" being "the nazis" instead of the reverse, but that doesn't really rise to the level of personal insults nor attacking someone specifically. We can't police what goes on in PMs but you can always block someone if you don't want them messaging you.

I avoid the place, sad to hear its still the same as it use to be. Hopefully something can be done. but I've got no suggestions.

if staff are involved in the fracas it might be a lost cause, sadly.
